Phil Donahue was married to Danny Thomas' daughter, Marlo. Danny Thomas was Catholic? but was with the Masons?

Sad but true.  If I had to guess, I'd say that either nobody ever told him it was incompatible with the Catholic Faith (I doubt the Masons ever mention that to a Catholic prospective member), or that some modern priest told him it was okay.

The Freemasons don't mind Catholics being members, in fact they probably view it as like winning a trophy or something --- "look, we got another one!".

Lol, because nothing coated with sugar could be that bad could it ? ::)
I bet you have weight issues.

The weird thing is that the family is calling trads a cult, while in fact they themselves are the cult. If you define a cult as an organization that requires people to adhere to certain ideas, and to remain with the organization, even to the point of employing physical violence to prevent people from leaving, then it's the family and not the SSPV who are the cult. The daughter wanted to leave to the family and join the convent, and the family violently abducted her to bring her back to the family.

I didn't watch the whole video, but I hope somebody pointed this out on the show?
I can only assume you belong to the SSPV and can’t understand a family wanting to protect their child from a sede cult.

Donahue came from an Irish Catholic family.   He married his wife, Margaret, in the Catholic Church and they even had a betrothal ceremony in church.  They had five children.  After their civil divorce, Donahue refused to get an annulment   He contracted an invalid marriage with Marlo at Danny Thomas' house.
