Martin Luther King, "Why I Am Opposed to the War in Vietnam"

This Memorial Day weekend, I hope you will compare King's speech with the type of leadership we have today in the Catholic Church.

Freedom for the American slaves came in 1865, but in 1870 a new type of intimidation came along. Thats when we made layman feel like worthless slaves.

139 years of oppression. With few exceptions, the Catholic layman's voice is dead.

Who will have the guts to stand tall and tell this Pope and and all the bishops that you can not turn your back on the Gospel.

Be faithful to Jesus Christ and the Gospel. Don't just be a Catholic N word.

  • 1 Peter 2:16-17 actually reads as follows:

God wants you to be good citizens so as to silence what fools are saying in their ignorance.

You are slaves of no one except God, so behave like free men,

and never use your freedom as an excuse for wickedness.  Have respect for everyone and love for our community, fear God and honor the emperor.

  •    Here is something from another forum from a Protestant who used to hang around Catholics.

I am no theologian, but I think we as Catholics have forgotten our roots.
Time to write a new screenplay about Catholic Roots

What say ye Kunta Kinte (aka ChantCD) ?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Believers ONLY Knew the Power Within Them
Jesus gave us one responsibility to receive and do ALL THINGS.

Mar 9:23Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.

And to accomplish this, He gave us the GREATEST gift in the world... the very gift that not only was the essence of creation, but is the essence of the Torah, the Law, and the Covenant written on our hearts.

Jhn 14:26But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    paraklētos (Comforter)
    1) of the Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom

A unique person and entity... part of the Triune of God. To lead us into DEEPER knowledge of the Gospel Truth (Gospel of the Kingdom), and to give us DIVINE strength (not simply physical strength, but supernatural) on behalf of the DIVINE Kingdom.

Do you TRULY understand the POWER that is within us? Given as a gift by the Father to be within us 24/7?

1Cr 12:7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

Take a look at this page and see ALL the qualities of the Spirit that is within us.

    http://www.hebrew4christians.net/Nam...is_adonai.html

One has to ask the question... if through the Holy Spirit... the very essence of creation (Gen 1:2) can accomplish ANY and ALL things, and it was given to us by the Father in the stead of Christ to DO ALL THINGS to those that beleive.

    1. HEALING
    2. Teaching
    3. Manifestation
    4. Wisdom

    etc... etc...

Then IF someone here or elsewhere, who claims to be a believer and claims to have faith does NOT manifest ALL THINGS they ask of the Holy Spirit.

Then either the spirit or scripture is a lie.

    or

    One TRULY does not believe.

I think we know what the answer here is... Christians can SAY they believe but you CANNOT lie to the Holy Spirit, and if what you need or desire is NOT manifest, then eventually, one must realize that their belief is the lie.

But when one FINALLY comes to that realization, then it is a GOOD thing... because THEN they can seek of the spirit the answers and necessities to be ABLE to believe in ALL THINGS.

Ive read this board, and many other boards... read multiple prayer requests over time, seen multiple responses of needs etc...

And rarely if ever do I see a TRUE healing or manifestation of works (miracle). I am not writing this to get people upset or angry, but to simply ask the question I have asked in threads before.

IF you go to the Spirit and do NOT get a manifestation, healing, answer, favor, or works, and then go to ANOTHER agency (Hospital, government, friend or relative, prayer line etc...)

Are you ever going to ask the Holy Spirit WHY He is not giving you what is promised to you?

Or are you going to give up and prove that your belief is the block standing in the way, and preach Jesus but show no 'works' of the Spirit in your life?

Jam 2:14What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

Jam 2:17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

When are believers going to REALIZE the truth... that the gift we have been given to use in His Name is the most POWERFUL entitiy in ALL of creation and all of the world?

  • Infallible Constitution of Holy Church(1870). Anyone who even questions one word of this Constitution is committing a heresy.

This is not an endorsement on EWTN
There Is No Such Thing As 'Sede Vacantism'...
nor is there such thing as a 'Feeneyite' or 'Feeneyism'

  • Check out Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

    Addicted to Bondage (show 26)

Is slavery a natural feature of human societies? Dan looks at this timeless, evil institution and wonders if we have made as much progress freeing ourselves from its influence as we think we have.

Jesus told Peter to "get behind Me satan" right after Peter was given the keys of authority.  Was that the last time there were any serious checks and balances on the office of the papacy?  If someone is an arbiter of all truth , he has become a god and consequently we must be slaves.
