If you are unmarried you ain't a couple.

If you are engaged to be married then shouldn't you and your future spouse get togehter at the Church and seek guidance on how to prepare for the sacrament?

A priest would have to ask them the tough questions, Poche.  And that same priest would have to demand hard answsers.  The confession awaits any couple pondering marriage and time for penance awaits any contemporary couple who have followed the secular method of dating.

I would advise Francis to tell them if they are not prepared to separate, confess their fornication and show their intention to live as Catholics they should not be allowed to marry in the Church.

But I can't see that happening. He wants to make everyone (except traditional Catholics) feel comfortable, even in sin.
