The primary message of Fatima is a call to penance and sacrifice, an abandonment of sin and a return to God - a call of offering up to God all of our daily prayers, works, joys and sufferings in the spirit of sacrifice and love.

At Fatima, Our Lady also requested for the Consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart.

Our Lady of Fatima also said: "Only Our Lady of the Rosary can help you." (page 96 of The-True-Story-of-Fatima.pdf)

But God, Our Lord, Our Lady, and the Church are always calling for prayer and penance.

Our Lady came to Fatima for another reason, to warn of the coming chastisement, likely to warn of Vatican II, which had brought about mostly through Russian-Communist agency (infiltration of the Church by their agents), and therefore to request the consecration of Russia to prevent this.

Now that they have failed to do so, and God foreknew that they would, the next step is that a legitimate Holy Pope will make the consecration when things look darkest, entirely hopeless, and the there will be such a miraculous response that everyone in the world will attribute it to Our Blessed Mother, thus leading to mass conversions and the Triumph of the Church.
