  • Since VII, many accessibility features were introduced for celiacs, like giving out the Cup and recently, low-gluten bread originally for cases when a priest - all of a sudden - develops celiac disease. Low-gluten bread is made from special, low-gluten (but wheaten) flour. They were deemed acceptable by Ratzinger.
But I have a problem with them. Low-gluten bread may be overly processed according to the rules of St. Pius V. Plus, the main supporter of these hosts is Ratzinger, a heresy suspect and attendee of Bohemian Grove.
    Is low-gluten bread canonically valid?

  • I have always wondered the same thing dealing with celiacs disease. Having met several people who suffer from that more recently, I wonder what the moralist/canonist would argue. I think the solution would be to give them wine. Instead of making alternate eucharist that is not valid.

Since I am not absolutely sure, and since I have not read anything on the topic. I would really like to hear those more familiar with this what is the proper perspective in terms of tradition to have.

It is not wine that you would recieve but the blood of Christ.

Well you are assuming that it is already consecrated, I was talking about the particular species to give someone as solution to the problem. So just getting a little ahead of me  .

Erm, if the bread is made out of wheat, at all, then yes. By definition it must be.
