This place has changed a lot since I first joined (I think it was around six years ago).

About every THREE years the place completely changes. If you don't believe me, just find an old thread from 3, 6, or 9 years ago and see who participated in the thread. You won't see many familiar faces, and most of the people in the thread you'll be like "who's that?"

9 years ago:

That's why I think it's ridiculous when someone from 6 years ago talks about his "CathInfo" experience and what a cesspool it IS (present tense), etc. If they were of good will or honest, they would try the site out again and update their information.

Why do people put up with name-calling and vague generalizations with NO proof, NO examples or anything? I want to hear these complainers give their reasons, which are probably something along the lines of: "I can't stand CathInfo, because in every thread Caminus comes in with..." or, "CathInfo is such trash. Gladius_veritatis gets drunk and goes on one of his drunken rants laced with foul language..."

Um...newsflash...neither one of those ex-members has been on CI for years.

The only "constants" on CathInfo are:

1. Me (so if you hate my guts -- you might want to get that checked out in the confessional -- you're right to stay away)
2. Related to #1, since I'm still the owner/mod the site has a certain flavor to it -- Recognize and Resist, classic SSPX is the best but Catholics holding other positions on the Crisis are welcome, anti-Modern World, value the truth at all times, integral (Monday to Saturday) serious Catholicism, alternative news, cօռspιʀαcιҽs, etc. Also a hatred for error and evil.

I mean, let's use our brains and basic logic here: when the whole membership turns over and becomes DIFFERENT, is it logical to assume that anything (good or evil) about the site will be THE SAME?

So unless you hate my guts, or you are a dogmatic home aloner ("There are only 5 valid priests in the whole world", "You can't attend Mass from a vagus priest, and the Novus Ordo is out."), or you are some kind of fringe kook (Pope Michael, Pope Augustine) you might want to give CathInfo another look.

Well put.

I just take a break for a year or so and it seems there has been a large turn over.

Matthew, you deduced all of that from my one sentence?   Amazing.
