I could've worded my post a lot better, but I guess what I was getting at is that it seems like there is more.. I guess I'll use the word harshness here, towards the sspx than there is towards the fssp. I was wondering why. It seems your reason, despite my bad wording, was similar to mine, namely, a feeling that fssp is more open about what it is
Fair enough.
Yes, we've known the FSSP sold out since 1988. We all know what they are; no one is pretending. Every Conciliar-leaning priest had somewhere to join, after they betrayed Tradition and left the SSPX. When their pockets are getting a bit light, they know where they can go for Thirty Pieces of Silver.
But now we have SSPX priests trying to transform their organization instead of leaving, which would be the honest thing to do. It's not fair to those content with the position of the old SSPX. It's not like there's not an organization which PERFECTLY encompasses their views/position on the Crisis. Because there is: it's called the FSSP.
Why does the world need (2) FSSPs and (0) SSPXes? Like I said: not fair to the tens of thousands of Trads who made a well-informed, conscious decision to back the SSPX position on the Crisis.
