    • Recently, Pope Francis while in Africa, put on leopard print vestments which was like most of his other public stunts,
    an act to demean the papacy.



    But, I have always thought that women dressed in leopard print were attempting to be sɛҳuąƖly provocative?
    Was I wrong?  I don't think so.  

    My confirmation came while at a company party, several years ago, when an ex-co-worker lady arrived wearing a leopard print vest.  I hadn't seen her in months and warmly greeted her, and added a compliment on her vest.  

    What shocked me was her reaction to my compliment.  She said. "Do you think it is sexy?   Surprised and not wanting to get into the "sexy" topic, I replied... "uh, it's attractive!"   Then, seeking further confirmation from her old boss, she asked, "Mr. Larson, do you think my vest is sexy?"  

    The she went on to discuss how the leopard print evoked an animal reaction in men and was generally viewed as being very sexy.
    The vest accessory seemed to fit her new job behavior (private airline stewardess), of what I can only describe was that of a  "sex kitten".

    Okay, she was a crazy dame, but a quick search on the symbolism of leopard print, confirms what the lady thought.

    In conclusion, I don't think it is wise, modest or prudent for women to wear leopard print, especially in a Catholic chapel, in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

    • I have several decorative scarves that I wear for neckline modesty.  They have bits of leopard print in them.  I also have one scarf that is leopard print.  My winter coat is fake leapard print.  Not one of these can in any way be described as “sexy” or provocative.  There’s nothing skin tight, worn so as to draw attention to my body, etc. I’m in my sixties, a bit too plump, not looking to attract men or to have others look at me.  I’d say I have no “sex appeal” whatsoever.  
    I’ve heard the same comments made about banning denim, leather—-real or artificial, snakeskin print, spandex, regardless of no tightness, velvet, satin, lace, ruffles, etc.
    Are we Puritans?  It’s HOW and for which purpose a woman dresses that renders certain garments unacceptable.  What about zebra stripes or giraffe pattern?  This is just silly.

    Yes, it does look good on me in the manner in which I wear it.  My hair is mostly whitish gray with a bit of my original dirty blond mixed it, so the coat offsets it well, along with my skin tone.  My scarves are subdued, not flashy, all natural brown shades.  I don’t like leopard print in unnatural colors, ie. pink, green, neons, etc.  I wouldn’t wear it glossy or head to toe.  That truly would look awful on me!  I don’t wear accessories or make-up that could render leopard (or any print/color) tacky.  I have very small pierced pearl, diamond stud or white gold mini hoop earrings, a white gold baby ring on my pinky, perhaps a Rosary bracelet, and neutral lip gloss.  That’s it.  I’m not into accessories and make-up gives me acne.  I’m actually fairly nondescript.

    That's me to a T.

    I have one long (waist-to-ankle) leopard skin skirt. It fits well, is comfortable and, if I had a church to go to, I would wear it. I don't feel sexy in it. :-*

    • This might be wearable in a chapel, as it is certainly modest, and the lady who would wear it is of the St Joan d'Arc calling. 
    Medieval ladies...yowza! Vive les Croisades! (yes I am old,older than I feel, and I feel ancient as of late.) ;) :)

    • You guys crack me up. I'll have you know I'm re-doing my kitchen in avacado green appliances, and if you think they're easy to find nowadays, you'd be surprised. Also on the lookout for some of those lucite grapes for my dining table and another rain-lamp. No animal prints though, I'm afraid of near-sighted hunters. :D
