New Ferula of Leo XIV Removes Nails and Passion of Christ

On Palm Sunday, Leo XIV used again a ferula that features a risen Christ leaving the cross.

He has used it since 6 January 2026. On 9 January, the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations told VaticanNews.va that the cross "unites the mission of proclaiming the mystery of Christ on the cross with the glorious manifestation of the resurrection".

The ferula "presents Christ no longer bound by the nails of the Passion, but with his glorified body", according to the papal office.

Those modernists! Pope St. Pius X taught that these people give a newer interpretation of the dogmas. So now we have the 665 th example from Rome itself. But this one is clearly dumb:  Palm Sunday/ Passion Week leads directly to the Crucifixion. And there they are, not even an ounce of logic. Pretty much the same logic as putting the cart in front of the donkey.

Don't want to get trapped by that  N.O. church, scandals are now created; so the silver lining is that serious Catholics will join the " Resistance "...

St. Pius X, pray for us.
