Latin mass canned in Knoxville

  • So recently I heard beckman go on about “ our creation” Our creation? I don’t know about any of you but I am a good steward of God’s creation and his concerns do not seem to be with the souls entrusted to him but temporal and worldly concerns straight from the green agenda. As the movement dies politically I guess it has been handed over to the Norvos ordos to be rekindled. Our creation! Loose language, dangerous theology. The rhetoric of the green ideologues has crept into the pulpit.
But Catholics have always known: the earth is the Lord’s. We were given dominion, not ownership. We are stewards, not creators. To call the planet “our creation” is to blur the line between creature and Creator — a hallmark of modernist ideology.

    🕯️ The Vineyard Parable
Christ told us of the vineyard (Matthew 21:33–41):
    • The vineyard belongs to the Owner.
    • The tenants are entrusted to care for it.
    • When the Owner returns, He demands accountability.
How can one entrusted with the vineyard of the Church — the liturgy, the Mass, the supernatural faith — fail to preserve it, and then presume to speak of preserving the vineyard of creation? If stewardship of the liturgy collapses, stewardship of the land is hollow.

    🌍 The Green Agenda’s Language
    The “green agenda” often:
    • Deifies nature while denying the supernatural.
    • Speaks of “our creation” as if man is god.
    • Uses ecological rhetoric to mask political control.
But Catholic stewardship has always been real: monasteries preserved forests, saints lived simply, farmers tilled responsibly. We did not need slogans. We had sacrament.

The vineyard is not ours. The Mass is not ours. The planet is not ours.
All belong to God. We are stewards, not creators.
When the Owner returns, He will ask:
    • Did you preserve My liturgy?
    • Did you guard My creation?
    • Did you honor My Son?
Loose language betrays loose theology. And loose theology betrays loose stewardship.
The vineyard is betrayed. The Mass is silenced. The agenda is exposed. . And in light of all of this I just left Boston Massachusetts 6 months ago because I saw Knoxville had a Latin mass and because I now had to start my life over at 40 because I was replaced at my job by “migrants” I’m absolutely broken hearted about this and I don’t know what to do. I have just turned my life around, got off countless drugs, beat Protestantism, Americanism, and modernism after praying and reading and hitting rock bottom just to be kicked in the teeth by this change. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I suppose the answer is to fall in line. I still have not been to confession in 20 years. I’m hoping you guys can give me some encouragement and advice. I can’t move again I was all in on this move! I have to get back to the sacraments. I’m just completely discouraged by all of this.

  • It would be a bit of a drive but this is one option in Franklin, TN:

    https://corpuschristichapel.com/

Or you can contact Our Lady of Lourdes Mission in Soddy-Daisy, TN

Not sure if there are other options in your area, any Eastern Catholic churches?

  • Christ suffered for love of you. Thank Him that you have more to suffer for the love of Him. Accept this burden patiently and willingly that as much good has come from Christ's suffering, so may some good (peace, converts, your own salvation, ect) may come from this suffering.

The SSPX also has an equally far away church in Roswell GA.

Saint Thomas eastern Byzantine Catholic mission 6 minutes from my house. Holy Ghost where they are ending the Latin mass is 10 minutes. I will look into that. It’s so sad. Holy Ghost was known as a very reverent church with a huge following.

  • Michael, the highest priority is to receive the Sacrament of Penance as soon as you can.

Do your best to find a good traditionally-ordained priest in one of the chapels mentioned by the others. Even if you cannot drive that far to Mass every Sunday, you should call the priest and set up a time to do a general confession. Maybe he would be willing to to drive to you. But don't put that off. And make sure that you prepare well. Good luck and may God bless you.

So this I’ll have to say the priest that gives the Latin service here at the Holy Ghost 10 minutes from my house put out the letter recently basically just falling in line with the bishop. They have a meeting scheduled to talk about the changes and I’m new here I don’t want to just butt in as I’m new to the parish. Maybe I should I don’t know. I guess to speak to someone and not just read about someone else’s opinions about them. I’m in no position to have an opinion. It’s not my parish. My last priest in fort Edward ny was a child molester sent to us from Massachusetts. I stuck up for him not knowing and he ended up moving in across the street after retirement with a boy it turns out he was molesting and I looked like a fool. That was 20 years ago a little more. I wish I was making this up. But I just come to my senses and bam tradition is outlawed. What a mess.

  • I’m sorry to hear of your troubles. God be with you as you navigate this crisis.
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.
