Breaking Israel News
A re-established and self declared Israeli Sanhedrin, the religious High Court composed of 71 sages, has declared that it is putting Pope Francis on trial unless he retracts his statement that the Jews have no right to the land of Israel or to Jerusalem.
In February 2013, the Vatican officially recognized the “State of Palestine” but more significantly, the Vatican signed a treaty in June with “Palestine” in which the Holy See switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the “State of Palestine”. This treaty is the first legal docuмent negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and as such, constitutes an official recognition.
The trial and judgment will be on September 20th, 2015. If Pope Francis chooses to ignore the summons, he will be judged in absentia.
*******************
Here is the full letter,
Because the Vatican recognized the organization known as the Palestinian Authority as a nation, and has begun to refer to it as a nation in its docuмents. His honor has named the head of said authority as an ‘Angel of Peace’, as was explained by a spokesman for the Vatican, that his intention was to encourage Abu Mazen to advance towards peace. These actions, to our great dismay, are consistent with a long series of actions and stances that are as in the days of the Roman Catholic Religion, that swore to persecute Israel because we refused to accept their Messiah as the Messiah of Israel, and to renounce our faith. The recent announcements and actions of the Vatican are a rebuke to the Jєωιѕн Nation and to the Bible, which you use to interpret the prophecies, as if God has abandoned his original Nation of Israel. Reality has proven the opposite to be true.
We require from you an apology for your recognizing as a nation those who stole the land, those who are known as the Palestinian Authority, and we are informing the Vatican that the sole God given right to the land of Israel is to the Nation of Israel. If His Honor the Pope, and the Vatican, do not apologize within two weeks of receiving this letter, and if he does not change his ways, we shall judge these actions in the Court of Mount Zion, in a court of 71 Jєωιѕн elders of Zion, and enact the prophecy of ‘The liberators will rise up upon Mount Zion, to judge the Mountain of Esau and the kingdom shall be God’s’ (Obadiah 1:21). The court shall judge the Vatican in its presence or in absentia, and it is possible that the Vatican will be found guilty of anti-Semitism, as has been known to be done several times throughout history, and to place responsibility upon the Vatican for all of the outcomes of its actions.
**********************************************
of the High Court are Rabbi Yoel Schwartz, Rabbi Dov Levanoni, Rabbi Israel Ariel, Rabbi Daniel Stavsky, Rabbi Yehuda Edri, and Rabbi Dov Meir Shtein.
The Sanhedrin has no political or legal status, and clearly has no authority over the Vatican. However, it is comprised of some of the greatest rabbis of the modern Jєωιѕн nation, men who have dedicated themselves to Torah, serving God and Israel. One of the main leaders behind the revival of the Sanhedrin is Rabbi Yoel Schwartz, well known for his advocacy in strengthening non-Jєωιѕн support for Israel.
The court’s rulings have the highest spiritual significance. The commandment to appoint judges is learned directly from the Bible (Exodus 18:13) and the present Sanhedrin is an effort to reestablish a tradition dating back to Moses.
Pope Francis’ recent visit to Israel and many of his actions caused disturbing waves in the difficult situation in the region.

His controversial description of Abbas as an “angel of peace” led to the Vatican backtracking and attempts to placate Israel. The Pope’s much-publicized meditation at a section of the security barrier prominently displaying pro-boycott graffiti was used by the Palestinians in an appeal to remove the much-needed security measure. That section of the wall also showed graffiti comparing the wall around Bethlehem to the Warsaw Ghetto. Pictures of the Pope’s visit to the wall went viral and became a symbol for anti-Israel sentiment.
While in Israel, Pope Francis attended Sunday mass at the Church of the Nativity. In his sermon, Latin Patriarch Fuoad Twal accused Israelis of being the present-day version of Christ killers by referring to the Palestinians as walking “in the footsteps of the Divine Child,” and likening the Israelis to King Herod. Shockingly, Pope Francis echoed his remarks in a later speech.
Pope Francis embraced the Palestinian mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Muhammed Hussein calling him “dear brother” in a show of great affection. In 2012, Hussein said it was the destiny of Muslims to kill Jews, who he claims are “subhuman beasts and the enemies of Allah.” Sheikh Hussein has also praised ѕυιcιdє bombers and said their souls “tell us to follow in their path,” remarks the Pope has never condemned.
Most significant, perhaps was a story of the Pope’s visit Caroline Glick told The Jerusalem Post. In a conversation with the Pope, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu mentioned that Jesus spoke Hebrew. Pope Francis corrected him, saying that Jesus spoke Aramaic. A flustered Netanyahu agreed that educated Jews at the time spoke Aramaic, but the language of the common people and the language Jesus preached in was Hebrew.
Reuters wrote of the exchange, noting that, “Modern-day discourse about Jesus is complicated and often political.” The report went on to explain, “Palestinians sometimes describe Jesus as a Palestinian. Israelis object to that.”
Pope Francis embraced Arab leaders, but more significantly, he accepted Palestinian national status, precluding any negotiated peace process, and voiding the validity of Israel’s claim to their God-given homeland.

They're just doing it to be controversial and stir the pot. If they're doing this now in 2015, then why didn't they do it when St. Pius X disputed the Jews' claim to Israel in 1904?

I believe this new Sanhedrin was just established about 15 years ago. It was done quietly and at the time the rabis appointed kept their names secret for fear of ...?
There was very little published about it at the time.

Why should we worry about what they think?
-
If we had a sane Pope and a healthy Church with the support of Christian rulers there should be a new crusade to seize the holy land back from the perfidious Jews and set up a new Catholic kingdom of Jerusalem.

Why should we worry about what they think?
You're a funny guy, Poche. As our resident Novus Ordo line toer, you of all people should know that "worrying about what Jews think" has been the order of the day ever since Nostra Aetate. I mean, they're our "elder brothers," right?
Benedict XVI was so worried about what they think, he changed the Good Friday prayers to placate them.
But if you're really all for a "who cares what the Jews think" campaign, then great. More power to you. Take it up with Father McFlakey when you go to shake his hand in the narthex after Mass this Sunday.

This is very interesting, but not in the fact that they are trying to charge Faux Francis with a crime.
What is interesting is how this plays into the End Times.
The Temple Institute is mostly a museum, but they do have wealth and an active community of people making preparations for the inevitable rebuilding of the 3rd Temple.
We know that the Antichrist will be a Jew. We know that the Temple will be rebuilt. But the Jews intend on attempting to re-establish Biblical Judaism, complete with sacrifices on the altar and the Sanhedrin.
Currently, the Temple Institute has a vast collection of newly made priestly garments and all sorts of vessels created exactly as they were at the time of Christ. They even have just finished building one altar.
As the Antichrist comes to power, the Jews will accept him as their Messiah and they will offer their sacrifices in the temple and the Sanhedrin will be his governing body.
As we speak, the preparations are being made....

We know that the Antichrist will be a Jew. We know that the Temple will be rebuilt.
I've read the Temple Institute has a big announcement coming up on
either July 12th or 15th.
Then there is Rabbi Kanievsky saying the "messiah" will be revealed
at the end of the Sabbatical year in September.
Both тαℓмυds record that God rejected all temple sacrifices from the Crucifixion onward to 70 A.D. http://www.bing.com/search?q=god+rejected+Jєωιѕн+sacrifices&FORM=IE8SRC

Is it lost on you that most of what I have named are acts directly against God and His will for Christian order in the world?
We know what God thinks about these things. Have you forgotten?

Francis has now lost all his Jєωιѕн friends. No more Kosher meals in the Vatican Guest
House. I bet he will be denounced by the phony converted Jєωιѕн Bishops and Cardinals.
Perhaps Francis will learn how to be a Christian Catholic and learned that the old Law
past away when Christ died on the Cross.
And that previous infallible teachings of the Popes and Councils are correct concerning
the Jews who refused to convert to the Catholic Church.
There is no such thing as a Jєωιѕн Nation. It is a religion, not a race.

I doubt the Sanhedrin has either religious or political Jurisdiction and authority to Judge a Christian, a head of state and a Pontiff.
As to their claims the palestinians stole their land obviously one has to suppose they have proof of this? otherwise they can reportedly be sued by them for slander and damages?
Regarding their claim of antisemitism because the Vatican refers to Palestine as a nation? in my humble opinion I think a first year law student could throw this claim out the window based, as I see it , in its seemingly lack of any legal foundation to support this claim if one refers to what is legally defined as antisemitism, it would seem that recognizing Palestine as a nation does not appear to fit the definition. And lets not forget Palestinians are semitic .
-
The members of this contemporary Sanhedrin are a bunch of kooks that no takes seriously anywhere! The perfidious Jews know Pope Francis is their boy and he will be very useful to them over the next several years.
-
Why should we worry about what they think?
Since they summoned him, perhaps he should go.
It would be a chance for him to try his hand at the New Evangelization.
Although I think the New Evangelization is to help those who are "sacramentalized" and does not include prosletyzing to outsiders.
Cardinal Kasper said that Vatican II did away with all that returning nonsense.
-
He should go so he can have more dialogue!

UPDATE:
BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS
A recent Breaking Israel News article about the nascent Sanhedrin’s intention to put Pope Francis on trial in absentia for his recognizing the Palestinian state has caused quite a ruckus. Though it may seem shocking to many that a group of rabbis would interfere in international policy, or exert authority over the Pope, the Sanhedrin feels compelled to do so. Rabbi Dov Stein, the secretary of the Sanhedrin, explained to Breaking Israel News that he feels it is their duty to bring God’s law into this world.
Thus far, the Vatican has not responded to the Sanhedrin’s letter. “As expected, no. It would seem that the Pope has chosen to ignore the letter. But a trial will be held anyway, and the result may be very risky for the Pope,” Stein said.
“God in heaven is listening and obeys the Sanhedrin because the Torah interpretation is in the hands of the Sanhedrin here in this physical world, not in the heaven in the hands of the angels.”
Not just a court for Jews, the rabbis on the Sanhedrin believe they are commanded by God to right injustice wherever it appears, regardless of religion or country.
“It has happened in the past that people have ignored the Sanhedrin, which is a mistake, because the Sanhedrin is vital to the proper functioning of the world. Only when the Jєωιѕн nation will heed the Sanhedrin of the Torah, will the Torah be one. Today God’s Torah is not the same Torah for all the Jews. Our unity is damaged because of this, because of people ignoring the Sanhedrin,” Stein explained.
In just one example, the Sanhedrin held a trial in 2008 against the Chinese government having to do with the persecution of the Falun Gong. Followers of Falun Gong, a branch of Buddhism, approached the Sanhedrin in 2007, claiming that their fellow practitioners in China were being persecuted. The claims, which have since been substantiated by media sources, were that in 1999 the Communist Party leadership declared Falun Gong a “heretical organization” and began systematically persecuting them, with reported human rights violations.
Want to know the daily news and inspiraiton from Israel?
As of 2009, at least 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners had died as a result of abuse in custody. Some observers put the number much higher, and report that tens of thousands may have been killed to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
“The Chinese embassy tried to prevent it, but the Sanhedrin is not obligated to politics, only to justice,” Stein said. The Chinese embassy in Israel was contacted by the Sanhedrin and responded that the hearing would likely have a negative effect on the diplomatic relations between Israel and China.
Professor Hillel Weiss, a member of the Sanhedrin, responded, “If Armenian representatives would have approached me and complained about the Turks I would support opening a Sanhedrin trial against the Turks. Every regime needs to know that if it hurts another ethnic group it is committing a crime.”
In 2008, the Sanhedrin ruled against China. The Association for Asian research wrote about the judgement, “While many nations and institutions have stayed silent as to the persecution of Falun Gong, the Sanhedrin has gotten it right. It’s time for the world to respond.”
When asked what authority the Sanhedrin has to put foreign leaders and governments on trail, Stein explained, “The Sanhedrin is the Supreme Court with responsibility for the world. All of the people of the world should at least be following the Torah, even if it is only the Seven Laws of Noah, (which are incuмbent on all non-Jews). The interpretation of the Torah in each generation is in the hands of the Sanhedrin.”
While the Sanhedrin’s actions of trying Pope Francis in absentia have proven controversial, Stein reveals that the court has received international support for its cause. “We have had many people contact us, Jews and Gentiles, and everyone was pleased with what we are doing and very supportive. They appreciate that there is now one true voice of the Jews and their Torah. There is not even one Beit Din (court) of Jews who dare to say the truth in the world,” he said.
When asked whether the government of the State of Israel has gotten involved, Stein stated, “I do not believe that they will support any such step. The opposite is probably true. The Israeli government is used to being pressured and attacked by the whole world, and therefore the government of Israel is afraid of every political shadow.”
With the Pope soon to address the United States Congress, the boundaries separating religion and state are becoming less clear. It is clear that many international conflicts today are driven more by religious fervor than by economic or diplomatic interests. It may just take a religious court to resolve the Injustices that plague and threaten humanity.

It looks like the Pope will again become a prisoner in the Vatican again.
No more worldwide adventures that were begun by PVI .
