  • Is Dr. Droleskey a priest?

This question has been asked many times lately especially since he and his family have not been seen in any of the Mass centers. Is he a priest?

  • I heard someone ask this before and I was surprised because I thought he had a wife and children. But I guess it is possible; stranger things have happened. If he was a priest though, wouldn't he tell people on his website?
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

    Hopefully not.

It is a mockery of the Roman priesthood that married men seek orders in these days, and a disgrace and scandal that bishops oblige them.

If he was ordained, hopefully the reason he keeps mum about it is that he doesn't want to perpetuate that scandal.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • I've heard the rumor.  Perhaps we should ask if any member of CathInfo has seen Mr. Droleskey at any traditional chapel any time this year.  After all, it is also just a rumor that "he and his family haven't been seen" at any traditional chapels.

Has anyone seen him in the year 2013?

  • This is strange. A person is rumoured not to be seen and is therefore suspected of being a priest.

  • I read this matter on "the Lay Pulpit" site.  Also the site: Pristina Liturgica.  Are these sites under the management of Craig Toth?

  • Another question.  If Dr. D is a priest, maybe he would serve his own family and have no need for other mass centers, except for confession and Extreme Unction.

  • No doubt, sede vacantism was a financial disaster for his writing business.
"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • No, he is not a clandestine priest - you can write to him yourself to confirm this, he is easy to contact via his website.

  • This thread is a classic example of how rumors can be started or spread. With the internet, rumors can spread faster than a wild fire, but they can also be prevented with a bit of research.

Justitia Dei, why didn't you just email Dr. D yourself and ask him directly?

Thank you, Marsha, for your logical approach.

  • Thank you very much for your suggestion to Ask Dr. Droleskey about his ordination, which of course had already occurred to me to do. In fact, that is what prompted this tread in the first place, because when he was asked the direct question whether or not he is a priest, he at first refused to answer, and only after being pressed for a response did he finally admit the following: “I have been asked not to answer that question”.
It puzzled me why such a simple question could not be answered with a simple no. This caused me to search further, hence this thread. However, I was able to contact Bishop Francis Slupski, of Rockford, Illinois, and he admitted that indeed he did ordain Dr. Thomas Droleskey to the priesthood. In fact one of the witnesses is a regular contributor to this forum, and I received a personal message from her.

I have been able to solve my own investigation, and as far as I am concerned, Dr. Droleskey belongs with the Novus Ordo as they too will very soon be ordaining married men priests, along with appointing woman into very high positions in the Church.

As far I am concerned, I am not here to engage in the he said, she said antics, but rather to avoid the near occasion of sin, and at all cost to avoid Dr. Droleskey, no matter what title he may try to lay claim to - - or deny!
