Thank you DMorgan.  That was the final touch for me.  I have concluded that we should leaven and convert this country rather than bash it.  This is my opinion.  What's yours?

This country was Catholic, it was stolen from the Catholics. It does not need conversion but re-conversion. It was stolen and taken over by Protestants. This land was claimed by Our Lady of Guadalupe. And, the sad thing is that it is only by Catholics who are apologetic's for the country as it has been run since 1776 that this abomination has lasted for so long.
The have even mocked our Lady by putting an ape of her in New York Harbour called "Lady Liberty."
I for one shall have none of it. For it is the highest form of insult to the Martyrs of America such as St. Issac Jogues and so many others from Canada to  Mexico that have shed their blood in this land.

<<<The Martyrs of America such as St. Issac Jogues and so many others from Canada to Mexico that have shed their blood in this land>>>>  Are what Catholics mourn and celebrate here in America.

wel lsaid.once England broke from RCC, they claimed land they had no right under the 1494 treaty between Spain/Portugal to claim...unless someone knows of a pre-Henry VIII break with Rome arrangement?

the slow settlement and conversion of spainards was interrupted by England.....hence, more massacres, wars, disunity....

we celebrate the NA martyrs, but they would have never cheered a nation comprised of deists, occultics, freemasons, disunified Prots,etc......

sorry, no  cigar on that one.during the USA Revolt, many in Quebec refused to join in, part because of Prot hatred of them, part due to the fact this was Catholic land.....Oppressive as England was over them, they saw things were getting worse..

Even Calvinst John Lofton at TAV has critcized the USA revolt, preferring the Puritan Mass days.....should tell us something....

Trinity, define bashing it.....you use it as a adjective a lot, but that is what we have tried in copious posts now to get through to you...merely waving a flag, reciting some tired out jingoism and rarely criticizing the USA is not going to affect conversion and does not get to the root of the matter....you way will not work and has not.....your way has had over 200+ yrs to work and has not.......

I would be more inclined to mourn lost opportunities.  How can anyone think that God was never here?  Where goodness is, there is God because He is the author of all goodness.  And there was and still is goodness here.  If not than every person on this board is a devil.
