  • Roscoe,

Clearly you have problems with Papal Infallibility.  Does your argument extend to Ecclesial Infallibility as well?  IOW, is Holy Church infallible?  If not, what does the perpetual assistance of the Holy Ghost mean?  Why does she exist at all?

  • If God is our guide, He cannot and will not make a mistake.  If Holy Church COULD and DID make mistakes, she would be, practically speaking, worthless as an aid for salvation.

  • How can a man be the head of a body/society that is an infallible guide in matters of salvation without, in some manner, participating in the exercise of said infallibility?

  • Are you confused that I, like all men, cannot be in more than one place at a time?  I will get to this when I get to it, CM.  Go have a beer or something!

Run to the store, buy some beer, and begin a new regimen!

Scotch?  Absinthe?  Cough medicine? Wine coolers?  O'Doul's?

  • Once I'm certain you accept all the correct Catholic positions and reject the heresies I know you to hold, I would indeed and most certainly be honoured.

  • I don't have seminary training, but I have to say that the infallibility of the Church comes through Blessed Peter and his successors, when they meet the criteria laid out in the Vatican Council.  In other words, as you probably guessed the instant you saw my request above, I believe Ecclesial infallibility IS Papal infallibility, with the exception of the Ordinary and Universal Magisterium, which is also infallible (to be believed by Divine and Catholic faith, meaning Divinely revealed, so infallibility is clear).

That is pretty much it, CM.  She also is incapable of approving universal disciplines that are harmful to souls, etc.
