Is it also possible to be a non-dogmatic sedeplenist? That would probably describe me. With reluctance, I accept the post-V2 Popes as valid popes, but I admit the possibility that I could be wrong, either about any one of them (a fortiori Francis) or all of them.
(I suspend judgment on Pope John Paul I, Luciani, because he wasn't around long enough to know much about him.)
I think the major problem with trads, is that they always think they have to posture to have some label on themselves in relation to this question.
Resolving this question is not something the average Catholic is required by faith to do.
What they are required is to AVOID dangers to their Faith. Stay away from modernism. Stay away from invalid, doubtful sacraments whether they are on the novus ordo side, or on the Thuc side. And let God sort out the rest someday.
My honest advice to you sir, is unless you feel competent to go into the nuances of reading theological opinions, then don't! Find a resistance Mass to go to even if you can make it only once every 6 months. Or even pay for a priest to fly in.
Except for the far south east and far north west, most of the United States is covered.
All the LARPERS on this site are just taking advantage of the fear of being alone that we all have, and getting people to accept things they shouldn't.
