Nevertheless, in keeping with the duty of Our office, We cannot help deploring and condemning those works of art, recently introduced by some, which seem to be a distortion and perversion of true art and which at times openly shock Christian taste, modesty and devotion, and shamefully offend the true religious sense. These must be entirely excluded and banished from our churches, like 'anything else that is not in keeping with the sanctity of the place.'"
Mediator Dei (Pope Pius XII, 1947)

“Moreover, that the images of Christ, of the Virgin Mother of God, and of the other saints, are to be had and retained particularly in temples, and that due honour and veneration are to be given them.”

I don't think there's anything wrong with a Sacred Heart banner on your porch.  At the beginning of the video, he shows images on skateboards & socks, which definitely is easy to see why those would be inappropriate, and I see a case being made for T-shirts & such, but a tasteful banner or statue in one's yard doesn't seem to me inappropriate.

That doesn't seem like an issue because you are giving proper honor and respect to our Lord. Holy images in things like socks, shirts and skateboards are an issue. Shirts and socks get dirty while skateboards and socks get trampled on.

When people go crazy on imagery it can weaken their reverence to Holy images because it becomes common place and the way they treat said objects.

Didn't Our Lord asked the king of France to put the Sacred Heart of the national flag, 1689? Quebec Canada attempted that in the early 1900, but was not too successful. See a Catholic flag in att.  It can be done! Hope.
