Why is it that for the past few years at the cathedral in my city's downtown, they continuously staff the place with a priest who can barely speak the English language?  

No offense to foreign priests.  I am happy they do what they do.  But foreign priests do not reflect the general populace.  People hardly ever can follow them because of their thick accents.  They laugh and smile when there's nothing to be happy about.  They don't really seem to be a part of the community--they are on the outside of the community.  

Again, I'm not dissing foreigners.  But one would think that you would staff one of the largest most heavily-attended parishes in the city with a priest who is from your area who speaks your language and understands your culture.

Folks, open up your thoughts on this matter.  I'm eager to hear your opinions.

In Novus Ordo Land, they use foreign priests, Why??!?

Could it be that they have been unable to attract enough vocations?

I thought that they use foreign priests because there are not enough Americans who want to be Novus Ordo priests, so they have to use foreigners from lands where there are more vocations.

When I was just starting out in teaching, there was a student who enjoyed saying the Rosary (and this was a student in the public school).  When I met his mother I made note of that and said perhaps he'll one day be a priest.  I don't recall her exact words but her response was something to the effect of "Over my dead body".

Because of personal reasons I cannot become a priest. But I think I would love to be  true priest and couldn't think of a higher honor than to be able to be a true priest who offers the true sacrifice to God. At the same time I would hate to be a Novus Ordo priest, especially when I had to let all the bossy women prance around tha altar and read the readings (my favorite is the epistle from Saint Paul when he tells the women to be silent in Church) and then put their grubby unclean hands on the hosts and give communion to the hordes (I wouldn't call them the faithful because most of them don't have the faith). I see very clearly why a young man would want to be a true priest whether it be SSPX, resistance, CMRI, SSPV, or independent, but I cannot see at all why anyone would want to be a Novus Ordo priest. As a Novus Ordo priest I would also hate having to deal with all the sodomites. I have read that they control most of the seminaries and that the sodomite teachers take the seminarians out to sodomite bars and clubs and that sometimes the sodomites even sɛҳuąƖly assault the other seminarians. (I don't remember exactly where I read these things about the sodomites, but I believe one of the sources I learned this from was excerpts from "Rite of Sodomy" and I also read similar stories from various websites).

Cardinal Manning had a priest (Carpa?) that had very immoral behavior.  So bad that Cardinal Manning told the SEE that if this priest was not defrocked, he would resign the Vatican.  The priest was shipped to New York and continued to be a priest!  It was said that the people took him on and he died in California.

This is a very insightful thought.  I would not put this pass the Conciliar bishops in the U.S.  I don't follow exactly the story about Cardinal Manning, but you do present a very good possibility.  Novus Ordo ordinations are very low world-wide and we are told there are priest shortages virtually everywhere.  If true, why would bishops in Africa and Asia be so willing to ship off so many of their priests to the U.S.?  There are no modern-day Irelands sending missionaries all over the world.
