Hello everyone,

  I've been speculating on this topic for quite a while now. If St. Augustine, St. Athanasius, St. Nicholas, St Catherine of Sienna, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Padre Pio, etc were alive today what would they do about the situation we are in today?
What "group" would they belong to?
Would they belong to the home aloners, the sedevacantists, the SSPX, the SSPV, CMRI, the FSSP, etc?

I do not think there are any right or wrong answers; it's pure speculation. Looking forward to your responses!

Saints are not a thing of the past, SaintsSoaring.

God raises up saints in all times. Just because we don't notice them doesn't mean there are not there and having to make these very decisions today.  Every saint acts according to God's Will for him and his present circuмstances of life.

There is a lot of confusion today and I believe that the saints must struggle with this confusion, and hopefully through God's grace do what is required of them.

As for HomeAloner. There is much misunderstanding of this term.  It is not because it's too far to travel to attend Mass that makes a HomeAloner.   I understand that it does not consist in any other belief than that the Holy Mass no longer is offered anywhere in the world, that there is no priesthood, no hierarchy that the HomeAloner person or family is one of the only real surviving Catholics. I believe no saint would ever believe that.

Some saints disagreed with each other on who was the pope, and other matters of theology. Saints can be wrong in their decisions. It is their love of God and their willingness to do His Will that makes him a saint. So what they decide today carry vary from saint to saint. I'm not laying any bets.

But I agree with Last Days that a saint would/will not choose Vatican2church.
