  • With the release of these two docuмents, the Mass and about the one church. Since so many "Trads" have taken this to mean that Pope Benedict has seen the light and is ready to correct past mistakes, when in truth, those statements do not correct anything but are in fact more traps for people to fall into. Is it possible that this was all done by those master minds in the Vatican to cause even further dissension amoungst Traditionalists, and to make those like myself who say these two docuмents were convaluted lies, be looked upon as even more extreme than most people thought I was two weeks ago. "They" will say that this shows the world that there is nothing Benedict can do to please us and that we are "schismatics", "extremists", etc.
Since the majority of the people are not willing to read or learn what the Sede position really is, then even more souls are going to be lost due to these two cunning docuмents.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

  • Dawn,

I can't comment on the intentions of the Vatican regarding these two docuмents, but it is evident that you are correct in regards to the dissension and even greater lack of unity amongst the traditionalists.

Additionally, yes.  We will be seen as extremists for not biting at these docuмents hook, line, and sinker.  You don't have to be a sedevacantist to be ridiculed as an extremist.

  • Dawn,

Apologies if this misses the mark, but put another way:

Has the proverbial line in the sand been drawn with even more clarity?

Yes, it has.  There are many who have bidden their time pleasantly enough on the wrong side of this line, without too much lack of comfort, etc.  Now, the contest is growing noticeably hotter, and it is not as easy to sit comfortably on the side of the enemy (and calling him 'papa' does not help as much as one might like to think).  Those who take the recent docuмents as good are already pretty firmly in the camp of our adversary.  Others, we pray, will come to see the line in the sand more clearly, moving to the correct side.  They have desired to be on the correct side all along, but the shenanigans of the adversary have been craftily rendering them indecisive and, therefore, immobile.  Call a spade a spade, and be free to unsheathe your sword.  Until you do, your 'papa' will continue to cut you to pieces.

Btw, would this go better in the 'crisis' folder?

  • Yes, and anyone who knows how can move it. And my eloquent friend. That is more to my point, the line is clear. And I for one shall not look back only towards the Queen of Heaven to keep me on the right path which is no longer being shown from Rome

  • As I have said before, we are all in the dark here to a greater or lesser degree.  Jesus did not leave a step by step manual to follow during times like these, and those whom we have always trusted to decipher and explain things to us are the very ones clouding the issues and changing the road signs.  We are split and turned on one another purposely, lest any find the way and lead others.  Should we ever find a leader, we will go home to Mother Church.

  • Dawn, you should start that thread about the differences among sedes.  Let's have it on the table and look at it.

  • I tried to start it in another thread, but I do not think I know enough of everything to make anyone understand my question. And, I am not talking of those dear deluded person known as the Dimond brothers. Seems except for their followers that is all that sedes do agree on that they are a little out there, but boy do they docuмent things like heresy well.

I'm not sure how many "Trads" think that Benedict has seen the light.  Anything that comes out of Rome should be immediately suspect.  This is a pope, after all, who goes around with what Antonio Socci, the Italian journalist, calls "The Fourth Secret" tucked neatly away in his heart.  He knows that the 3rd Secret has not been fully revealed, and by triangulation, I think we can safely assume that that unrevealed part of the secret is the Great Apostasy of the Church.  Benedict knows that fish rot from the head down.  He sits right at the top where the rot began, and spread downward throughout the entire ecclesial structure.  Perhaps he thinks that reinstating the Old Mass will act as a kind of a 'room deodorant' to help keep the Vatican stench down.

  • I think he's trying to lull people to sleep.  Rather a waste of time though, since most of them never woke up.

I'm not sure how many "Trads" think that Benedict has seen the light.

I would assume he has, but he prefers the darkness. Buchanan has it all wrong. He sees a 'reformer' converted to Catholicism. The obvious truth is that Ratzinger is a Protestant who at best is looking to a 'high Anglicanism' in his sect. This was predicted almost as soon as his name was surprisingly mentioned as getting the election of the Roman Protestant cardinals. And sure enough, he's paving the way for 'pomps and whistles', if one doesn't mind the mixed metaphor. He's not letting go of the Protestantism. Neither did the Anglicans.

This is tearing down and deconstructing to build up again in their own image. But this is not PT. This isn't 'boot camp'. This isn't something one tears down and builds up. The Mass, Sacraments, Revelation, Catholicism, never mind all the institutions, is what one guards and passes to the next generation. Those who parasitically tear down and deconstruct what is holy are doing what is the essence of diabolism. To say the Sacraments, aren't, and that Revelation - isn't - is to confess that one is not Catholic, in any way.

  • There was a saint who (in a vision) saw a great church being constructed without the aid of angels.  I forget how the rest went.  What you said, Dust, reminded me of that.

  • After another morning of listening to "Catholic" radio I am impressed. This will be the furthest reaching destructive arm that the NewChurch has ever thrust into the world. The entire morning was spent with the hosts repeating over and over that one must read the docuмent to see that Benedict is not saying that other Churches are not valid. He has every organ of the NewChurch media loudly and repeatedly saying to all of their fairly large audience in the whole world that,"according to this man made imposter of a Catholic Church" all are saved no matter what Church you belong to. This is the false gospel that thanks to Relevant Radio, EWTN, Ave Maria Radio, Catholic Answers is being spread to the four corners of the world. This evil propagand genius smacks of the anti-Christ.
