  • I publicly asserted that Pope Pius X, the last validly elected Roman Pontiff of Holy Mother Church, was "lacking in diligence", since the "Compendium of Christian Doctrine" contains various heresies.

Pius X may have read the Catechism and he may not have. In the first case, then, although not a public heretic, he may still be suspect of being an occult heretic, though without proof of public heresy, he is to be regarded as a valid pope. In the second case, he may have lacked diligence, by allowing a heretical Catechism to be circulated, but this in itself would not cause him to lose office, and besides that he had to contend with enemies of the Church all around him, and there is no way to know for sure that the Catechism was not altered after he had already given his approval.

Given his other teachings against Modernism, etc. and the no-nonsense attitude he took in those matters, I am very ashamed of myself for having automatically assumed the worst, when in reality I should have assumed the best.

May you all accept my humblest apologies, and may almighty God grant me pardon.
