that Jesus showed us how to handle this situation i.e. the illuminati trampling of Catholic gov't.  But now I wonder.  Just what did He tell/show us?

Many things:

1.  Give to Ceasar what is Ceasar's and to God what belongs to God

2.  Be wise as serpents and as gentle as doves.

3.  You shall know a tree by its fruits.

4.  Don't fear him that can kill the body, rather fear Him who can thrown both body and soul into Gehenna.

5.  Don't worry about what you are to eat or the clothes you are to wear.  See how God provides for the lilies of the field?  Seek you first the Kingdom of God and all shall be given unto you.

And, last but not least, my all-time favorite:

6.  Let he who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall.

Our Lord gave us at least two warnings that I hold on to:

The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew, Chapter 24
"21 For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be. 22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. 24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. 25 Behold I have told it to you, beforehand."

The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew, chapter 16
"18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven."

So we know from Our Lord Jesus that our church will survive to the end, and that a remnant will be saved. Now it is up to us to live our lives as close to Holiness as possible to be part of the remnant.

Good, good, and thanks.  I can add  to that: walk the extra mile.  I read somewhere that that came from the Romans habit of grabbing someone and making them carry their stuff.  It made the Hebrews mad, but Jesus said to do it and walk an extra mile, too.

What more is apropos to this?
