  • I am thinking I cannot continue to be a Catholic anymore, I can hardly bare the fact that my money is going to feed priests, priests like the one I saw the other day photographed in pink vestments.

Maybe I should just stay home and pretend, pretend what ?- I don't know, I don't know what I will pretend...

They don't care about the faithful, the Church. Yet, they expect us to feed them, they think they are gifts when they are simply wolves.

You quit on Our Lord as if He is not aware of all the wicked priests?  Why do that?  Don't cut off your nose to spite your face!  Why allow a sorry bunch of perverts to damn your soul?  If you cannot find a Mass to attend, at least pray the Rosary, your morning and evening prayers, grace before and after meals, and read the Missal on Sunday.  Give alms directly to those in need if you cannot give to your local parish.  You can support Fr. Chazal in Asia, Fr. Pfeiffer in the US, Bp. W. in England, Fr. Fuchs on the Continent, Dom Thomas Aquinas in S. America.
Please don't just give up!  But know that if you do, Our Lord will likely pursue you!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Do not despair. That you have been brought to the true Faith is a sign of God's special love and predilection for you.

Truly to suffer from the wolves is a small price to pay for Jesus, is it not?

A love so great, those who love Him should bear some burdens and prove themselves faithful through some trials for it no?

Hold fast to the Lord and His peace I pray.

May the Lord and Heaven console you.

    Sincerely,

    Shin

  • You need to make a clear difference between what is the True Faith, and the people that run and belong to the Church organization. On this earth, The Holy Catholic Church is composed by sinners that err, but the Faith is truly divine. At the end, it is only your soul who will stand judgment before Our Lord.  Just focus on the salvation of your precious soul and pray much to the Holy Ghost for guidance, in the midst of human error.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

Why do you give them money?

The last time I gave any money to NewChurch was 1977.

  • If you are not going to be a Catholic, how will you get absolution for your sins?
You can make an act of contrition instead of going to confession, but you must be sincere, and if you hold to any heresies you do not get into heaven.

You must be spiritually part of the body of Christ +++ to get into heaven, and that means not holding to any heresies, like protestantism.

What is happening is you see yourself as more Catholic than the local priests.
Maybe you are. You should be the priest and not them. Go to the SSPX and you will get traditional priests who you can be sure are Catholic.

Catholic is the religion, it is not being ordained.
It is possible to be ordained and not a Catholic ( outside the church for heresy)
Same thing with the "Pope" he is outside the church for heresy.

If you are not careful you will become a much feared "dogmatic sedevacantist" who says that the church which purports to be the Catholic church is not the church but a heretical sect of impersonators and imposters. I am tempted to this often, but I always think that the adherents of such a church are merely in error and ignorance and not willfully trying to start a new religion. But I blame the top.

    Crossbro,

The scandal that you are experiencing is not from the Catholic Church, rather a counterfeit sect masquerading as the Church.

The One True Church exists today but is much smaller.   Do not allow yourself to be scandalized by a fake church, find the true Catholic Church!
The Council of Trent, The Catechism of the Council of Trent, Papal Teaching, The Teaching of the Holy Office, The Teaching of the Church Fathers, The Code of Canon Law, Countless approved catechisms, The Doctors of the Church, The teaching of the Dogmatic
