Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Mr Gibson was only 101?
Obviously a victim of Covid-19! ::)

Are there any reports of his death beyond the one in the OP's link? What is the source of the Facebook group's report? It's of course quite believable that he has died, given his age and his known health problems. Only, when I try to find any additional information, there is none online. With the exception of a claim on Gloria.tv which is unsourced/uncorroborated. Prayers for him in either case.

Wow, 101. RIP.

Dona eis requiem, Domine.
Requiescat in pace.

Apparently Makow tweeted about it a few days ago: https://twitter.com/HenryMakow/status/1260429507577761792
No confirmations from family yet, nor any obits, so far as I can tell.

Prayers for Mel Gibson, his family and parish at Holy Family. May Mr. Gibson Rest In Peace.
-
Mel also needs our prayers, as he's been shacked up now with a second woman other than his wife (that we know of) for several years. He has two illegitimate children.

"Tolerance is the last virtue of a depraved society. When an immoral society has blatantly and proudly violated all the commandments, it insists upon one last virtue, tolerance for perversions. It creates a whole new world in which only the intolerant critic, of intolerable evil, is evil."
Hutton Gibson
Rest in peace Mr. Gibson

Dear Mr Hutton's death has not yet made the news. I have to wonder if his family is deliberately holding off on any announcement, to postpone as long as possible the rabid howling of the secular entertainment media --- TMZ, Variety, Entertainment Tonight et al. Besides, he wasn't an entertainer or a public figure, except in traditional Catholic circles. He was a private citizen. He just happened to be Mel's father.
May he rest in peace, and may his loved ones be comforted.

I am praying for Hutton Gibson and his entire family. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great and holy man.
If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. - Romans 14:8 :incense:

May he rest in peace.

This Twitter feed contains a comment about Mr Hutton having received stem cell treatment. Just to clarify, he did not receive stem cells from aborted babies. They were adult stem cells as well as umbilical cord stem cells. Neither treatment is morally problematical, in fact, it's a laudable medical treatment for which we should all be thankful.

Incidentally, I would ask prayers for my own father (85). He has recently been diagnosed with a medical condition, but he would not want me discussing the particulars publicly. It is not cancer and his life is not in immediate danger, in fact, he insists upon doing his own shopping, housework, and lawn and garden care. (He thinks my work is slipshod --- he was always used to doing everything perfectly.) I can tell you that he does lean sedevacantist (I'm not, I just have my doubts about the past five popes, most of all Papa Francisco) and dislikes the post-Vatican II Church very much. So he's basically one of y'all. Good, good man.

Thank you, you're the best. SimpleGrandpa is not in the frame of mind to want his situation publicized (even if anonymously), but I know he would appreciate everyone's prayers.

We are happy to pray for SimpleGrandpa.
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.

For Hutton Gibson:
May the angels lead thee into Paradise; may the martyrs receive thee at thy coming, and bring thee into the holy city, Jerusalem. May the choir of angels receive thee, and with Lazarus, who once was poor, mayest thou have eternal rest.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

As for SimpleGrandpa, I will pray for him too.

Hopefully he comes to his senses and reconciles with his wife.

There's been an awful lot of water under that bridge, to say the least. But stranger things have happened. God can do anything.
I cannot fathom how Mel lives in mortal sin --- if indeed he is "shacked up" with this present woman, and lives a conventional conjugal life with her --- knowing what he knows, and believing what he believes. Supporting the children he has fathered, absolutely. Being a part of their lives, absolutely. Being decent towards the mothers of his children, absolutely. Having sex with the present love interest, absolutely not. He knows better.
