What if we had a moratorium on BoD/Feeneyism, Sede vs. R&R debates, flat earth and all this quarreling from like, 6pm est until Tuesday or so? It's Christmas. Let's just rejoice in the birth of Our Lord.

Everyone is welcome to have a Christmas truce if they wish. I always encourage as little fighting about those things as possible. I personally don't get into any of those discussions, as I see them as a waste of time. Anyone looking to me as an example or leader has already given up those discussions.
As for heavier handed tactics, well, this isn't that kind of forum. A forum owner has to be a leader, but he can't be a tyrant. I can't force all the members to be like me. That's how you end up with defunct, moribund message boards like the old Angelqueen. You can't require "be and think exactly like the owner" as a requirement of membership. Talk about an arbitrary standard! One has to be more objective than that. People have different opinions and interests.
My job is to run an orderly message board (the online equivalent of a coffee-and-donuts hall), and provide a platform where everyone can find good opportunities for learning and discussion, and meet Traditional Catholics from around the world.
