Pax is simply saying what is.
You should take what you are saying and apply it to any of the prayers of the Mass. Let's apply it to the Confiteor - So at every Mass, the altar boys leave out "et tibi pater" and et "te pater" because they are certain that it's not a legitimate sacramental confession. What did that omission do to the prayer and who told them they could do that to the Confiteor prayer of the Mass? You could say: "They got a lot of nerve, who do they think they are?"
Even in this crisis, there are some things we may not do, or as Fr. Wathen put it.... "We say that their private judgement in the matter must not be introduced into the Liturgy which is an official act of the Church. Their private judgement has no place in the sacred liturgy."
And that is the major problem with our conversation. Pax is trying to come to a solution he feels comfortable with. My husband is doing the same thing. You, Stubborn, are doing the same thing. Three men, three different answers. No order. Just caos. This affects the women and children greatly.
I don't even understand who Father Wathen was. Why is he looked at as an authority?
If there was no pope then there would be no name. The Sedes believe there is no Pope, so their is no name. There stance is logical for their thought process. I understand that some people believe that others can't make that judgment call. it might be true but for now we don't know.
Those who say he is the Pope puts his name in. The R&R believe he is the Pope they put his name in.
It is like two people looking at the same glass and one saying it is half full and one saying it is half empty. Who is correct?
I know I am rambling . I should stop replying to this thread. I guess I just want the men to see that this whole crisis of the Church hits women and children differently and this is possibly also being used by Satan to destroy families.
