Since I hold a B. A. in Cultural Anthropology, my curiosity about this was lit by the report that at the installation mass of Cardinal Prevost, a 9 stemmed Menorah was depicted on the stairs to the high altar; not to mention, that one of his first acts was to reach out to the Jєωιѕн community and promise closer relations.Also the surname of his paternal grandfather piqued my interest, since Riggitano means “a man from Reggio di Calabria”, which is known for having a high population of Sephardic Jews, after Spain expelled them in 1492.And the Biography of Prevost, at Wikipedia, now admits that Prevost studied Hebrew as an undergraduate at Villanova, University, even though he was majoring in mathematics! — See more on this below. — This argues strongly that he knew he was Jєωιѕн as early as at College.
But the inference of mine, which I want to report here, is based on the surname of his Great-Great-Grandmother Odile Copel, from the Yiddish diminutive for Jakob. When Odile died, her name was rewritten as Odile Copelle. — The change in her surname seems to signify that both variants are from the same origin, which as can be seen is αѕнкenαzι or Jєωιѕн (see below).
THERE IS A ROBERT PREVOST WHO JOINED THE CIA
I think my readers have the right to know all the leads. So I wish to report that at the Haverford College official Newsletter, OldBridge.Haverford.Edu, it was reported in May, but now scrubbed from the net, that a certain Robert Prevost, an alumni, joined the CIA as an intelligence officer in the ’70’s.
The official biography of Cardinal Prevost says he attended Villanova University from 1973-1977. But Villanova Unviersity is only 3 miles from Haverford College. And so it is possible that he did take some courses on their campus, which were not available at Villanova, the Augustinian run Catholic Institution, literally just down the road, within biking distance.
This lead needs further investigation, as the possibility it opens are explosive.
