Get this one. Benedict is going to announce to the world that John Paul II is a blessed next year. It will probably go to full "Sainthood". The miracle? John Paul is credited with interceding in the case of a 26 year old man who recovered from what doctors in Ohio called a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Hmm, fatal gunshot wound to the head and he lives. Oh where oh where did I hear that one before.

What happened to the miracle of the French nun who supposedly got cured of her Parkinson's disease after praying to JPII? Her "miracle" bolstered the case for his sainthood. But after all the media hoop-la, we never heard anything about her again and whether the church had verified the miracle as being authentic. I suspect from the subsequent silence of the Church on this matter, that they concluded it wasn't a miracle. I suspect the Church never disclosed the outcome of the investigation because they didn't want to put a damper on the beautificatioin process.

let him be canonized.it is just like the supposed sanctity of many many false teacher like sai baba,Gandhi,Mohammet etc.
and don't worry about miracles....in a country like mine,one always hears about "miracles" of dead moslem mullahs :healing of diseases like cancer and barenness,disappearence of tumores,meeting angels and so on....
don't worry he is just one of thousands.....
