I have not had a chance to read the entire article, but my first reaction to the idea is: GOOD LUCK getting the priests and bishops to agree on the particulars of any process (or even to recognize each other as worthy of participating), much less the outcome!

All the same, I shall not comment upon the article until I get the chance to read it.

  • I see this current time as similar to the time when Our Blessed Lord was in the tomb - his body being separated from his soul, although his Divinity remained united to both.

Now, I know THAT he raised himself from the dead by reuniting his body and soul.  What none of knows is HOW he did it.  We do not know such any more than we understand HOW he creates a soul out of nothing.

For what it is worth, I see this crisis being resolved in a similar manner - i.e., I trust THAT it will be resolved.  As to HOW, God's ways are not our ways.

  • I know this is FAR too simple a comment, but I have to get back to work...

For those who believe is a conclave IS possible, WHY HAVE YOU DONE NOTHING ALL THIS TIME???

For those of you who think there IS a hierarchy in hiding, WHY DO THEY (YOU) FEAR THE POWER OF MEN???

For BOTH (and all, including myself): DO ye manfully and trust IN GOD.

  • Please scratch the first "is" after "For those who believe..."

  • Griff Ruby has to be one of the strangest Sedes out there. He is drifting toward on conclavism, yet he also supports theistic evolution. GV, I try to see the time that the Church is in now as an Abram and Sarai situation.
    Pray for me, always.

  • I think the libs are more cunning than Trads in takeover strategy.

They were out of favor and marginalized for thousands of years because they kept fighting openly and kept being condemned. After 1900 years they adopted a new stealth strategy, went underground, played along with the establishment and entrenched themselves in positions of authority and then brought about the revolution. We are talking about 2,000 years of trial and error leading to an astute level of cunning.

Trads are only 50 years old if that much and we are doing as they used to. Being open about our beliefs and getting condemned and censured by the authority and marginalized.

It seems we can either continue to fight from the "outside" or do we perhaps go stealth, get a large # of our ranks ordained as NO priests, then consecrated as NO Bishops, publicly towing the party line but privately sticking to Tradition and then when we have the #'s start the counter-revolution?

Just a thought. Fight fire with fire perhaps? A secret brotherhood of "approved" Trad priests, acting in the shadows?

Would make for a good movie anyhow!  :laugh1:
