anything put out by the Dimond Brothers is hardly spiritual, nor is it edifying...

If we had a Catholic state, would treat them  :heretic:

But what did Our Lady say at La Salette? Of course you are under no obligation to believe in the appearance of the Mother of God there but plenty of faithful Roman Catholics did believe the prophecies made there...are they all heretics?

When I was EO I used the "revealations" of that poor nun as proof that Roman Catholicism was dangerous heretical nonsense and finding out that they had actually been condemned by the Church forced me to begin to re-examine my attitudes and beliefs.

After listening to what the Dimonds said on their website about CM though I do agree that they seem to lack charity and are well judgemental....But I cant see how they are heretics or doing evil exposing a demonic deception such as the "Divine Mercy" "revealations".

I've figured you out, Caminus, when you get caught in a logical contradiction, you resort to ad hominem attacks, laughing emoticons, etc.

You've skirted the issue that you deny the Church's disciplinary infallibility (talking around it with a litany of equivocations about positive, negative, yada yada), say that the Church can teach errors left and right, but then somehow imbue the Dialogues of St. Catherine with a kind of infallibility, attacking me for basically not treating every statement in there as an implicit act of the infallible magisterium.

Actually, their booklet on Padre Pio is one of the most edifying treatments of his life I've ever read.  Despite their problems in some areas, the Dimonds do some good work too.  Their book on refuting Protestantism from the Bible was absolutely fantastic !

Let us be careful lest we adopt the contradictory attitude of:  "Let us be charitable towards all except towards the uncharitable."

Now, for your spiritual edification, Caminus:

:laugh1:  I suppose if I interpret those things with a malicious, sensual or materialistic understanding I should be offended as well.  Next you will be citing references to being "kissed on the lips" as saintly admonishments to sensual love and impiety.

When we get into the area of mystical writing, extreme care needs to be taken in properly understanding the text.  I am absolutely certain that the foolish Dimonds are not up to that task.  And I am quite shocked that you would make such a reference.

Just give it up man.  I can tell when someone is kicking against the goad.

Again with the ad hominem attacks.

Come on now, the Sister Faustina stuff is absolutely bizarre.

Maybe the Dimonds are not up to the task, but both Faustina's work and Valtorta's (to which you allude here) were on the Index during better times in the Church.  Perhaps the Church authorities who put them on the Index were also stupid idiotic simpletons who couldn't understand the glorious depths of these mystical writings.

You know, you should really stop and think before you spout things off, maybe you wouldn't be in such a pickle for denying traditional catholic doctrine.

I was referring to both Teresa of Avilla and Catherine of Siena by the way.

I would LOVE to dissect this noxious "critique" but alas I don't really have the time it would take to do so.

And one of the most terrible lines of argument a catholic can take is the "they're not infallible" (and other comments of a similar nature calculated to cast doubt) one for upon uttering the words you simply saw off the branch upon which you rest.
