Pope Francis, who will soon preach at a Pentecostal church in Rome — and plans to offer them “an apology from my church for the hurt it has brought to their congregation.”
There are so many doctrines we will never agree on. Let’s not spend our time on those. Rather, let’s be about showing the love of Jesus.”
You well know, Beloved Sons and Venerable Brethren, that among the many deplorable evils which disturb and afflict principally the ecclesiastical and civil society, two stand out in our day and are justly considered to be the origin of the others.
In effect, you are aware of the innumerable and fatal damages which the terrible error of Indifferentism causes to Christian and civil society. It causes us to forget our duties to God in Whom we live and act and have our being. It causes us to lose our concern about our Holy Religion and destroys almost to the very foundation all law, justice, and virtue.
There is little difference between this most vile form of indifference and the demonic system of indifference between the different religions. According to this system, those who have strayed from the truth, who are enemies of the true Faith and forget their own salvation, and who teach contradictory beliefs which never had stable doctrine, admit no distinction among the different creeds. Rather, they make a pact with everyone, and defend that the haven of eternal salvation is open to the followers of all religions, whatever they might be. They do not care about the diversity of their doctrines as long as they agree to combat the one that is the unique truth.
You see, Beloved Sons and Venerable Brethen, how much vigilance is needed to keep the disease of this terrible evil from infecting and miserably killing your flocks. Do not cease to diligently defend your people against these pernicious errors.
Francesco and his buddies might not spend any time on doctrine now, but they'll make up for that in Purgatory, that is, if they get that lucky.

All I have to say about his prospects of being lucky enough to get to purgatory is that there is no salvation outside the Church.

So according to the anti-SV's who reject bod/bob, a brazen immoral antichrist like Frank still has a shot at ending in purgatory and consequently being saved because, so they say, he's "in the Church", but people who would qualify for bod/bob go straight to Hell if they are not water baptized?

The point of all this is, that if a Catholic is not interested in converting a heretic or a non-Catholic, then having any substantive conversation with them will result in THEM trying to convert THE CATHOLIC; that is, they want you to apostatize.

But doesn't it all depend on what you mean by "the Church?"
How about: "What do you mean by "purgatory?"
Two young women knocked at my door late in the evening. I know what you're thinking. But no, I had no idea who they were or why they were there. And they had no idea what they were asking for.
Make sense? I didn't think so.
I opened the door and they started talking, one at a time. I could see this had been rehearsed. They asked me if I had ever heard of "God the Mother."
If this happens to you, I found out you should ask them, "Whose mother is she?" Because then they will reply that "She is the mother of us all." Then you can ask, "Are you talking about Mother Earth, or Gaia?" That might be fun.
It helps to know some NewAge vocabulary when speaking to Raelians or the Elohim.
The point is, THEY WERE THERE TO CONVERT ME. When I made it clear to them that even though they profess to believe in Jesus Christ as God, and the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, nonetheless, they do not have the first clue what the revelation of God is regarding His nature.
When I explained to them their deficiency in knowledge, and that it is THEY who are in need of listening to what I HAVE to say, they ran away.
The point of all this is, that if a Catholic is not interested in converting a heretic or a non-Catholic, then having any substantive conversation with them will result in THEM trying to convert THE CATHOLIC; that is, they want you to apostatize.
When a Catholic (you) speaks to an "evangelical" and the subject turns to religion, there is no way to have a conversation without them attempting to convert you. Therefore, if you're not interested in converting the 'evangelical' then, in order to continue the 'dialogue', you will be forced to at least give the appearance of accepting their doctrine as valid and true AT LEAST FOR THEM.
That means that you must approve of RELATIVE TRUTH and SUBJECTIVE REALITY as a means of salvation, which is contrary to the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ as found in Scripture.
In order for anyone to do this while claiming to be Christian, one must agree with freedom of religion and false ecuмenism.
The problem with freedom of religion and false ecuмenism rest in the fact, that both of these pernicious errors are squarely founded on the false notion of invincible ignorance inasmuch as it would be applied such as to those who HAVE heard the Gospel, and to the Modernist corruption of 'baptism of desire', whereby everyone, in potency, would be saved (universal salvation, e.g., Assisi I, II, III, etc.).
I'm surprised Francesco hasn't announced Assisi IV yet. What's taking so long?

I thought you believed you needed to be a Catholic and in the Church to have a shot at purgatory?
This applies here as well:Quote from: Pope Pius IX

Prophetic words. Modern day Ecuмenism is synonymous with Religious Indifferentism.
