Francesco and his buddies might not spend any time on doctrine now, but they'll make up for that in Purgatory, that is, if they get that lucky.
All I have to say about his prospects of being lucky enough to get to purgatory is that there is no salvation outside the Church.
But doesn't it all depend on what you mean by "the Church?"
How about, "What do you mean by "purgatory?"
Two young women knocked at my door late in the evening. I know what you're thinking. But no, I had no idea who they were or why they were there. And they had no idea what they were asking for.
Make sense? I didn't think so.
I opened the door and they started talking, one at a time. I could see this had been rehearsed. They asked me if I had ever heard of "God the Mother."
If this happens to you, I found out you should ask them, "Whose mother is she?" Because then they will reply that "She is the mother of us all." Then you can ask, "Are you talking about Mother Earth, or
Gaia?" That might be fun.
It helps to know some NewAge vocabulary when speaking to Raelians or the Elohim.
The point is, THEY WERE THERE TO CONVERT ME. When I made it clear to them that even though they profess to believe in Jesus Christ as God, and the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, nonetheless, they do not have the first clue what the revelation of God is regarding His nature.
When I explained to them their deficiency in knowledge, and that it is THEY who are in need of listening to what I HAVE to say, they ran away.
The point of all this is, that if a Catholic is not interested in converting a heretic or a non-Catholic, then having any substantive conversation with them will result in THEM trying to convert THE CATHOLIC; that is, they want you to apostatize.
When a Catholic (you) speaks to an "evangelical" and the subject turns to religion, there is no way to have a conversation without them attempting to convert you. Therefore, if you're not interested in converting the 'evangelical' then, in order to continue the 'dialogue', you will be forced to at least give the
appearance of accepting their doctrine as valid and true AT LEAST FOR THEM.
That means that you must approve of RELATIVE TRUTH and SUBJECTIVE REALITY as a means of salvation, which is contrary to the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ as found in Scripture.
In order for anyone to do this while claiming to be Christian, one must agree with freedom of religion and false ecuмenism.
The problem with freedom of religion and false ecuмenism rest in the fact, that both of these pernicious errors are squarely founded on the false notion of invincible ignorance inasmuch as it would be applied such as to those who HAVE heard the Gospel, and to the Modernist corruption of 'baptism of desire', whereby everyone, in potency, would be saved (universal salvation, e.g., Assisi I, II, III, etc.).
I'm surprised Francesco hasn't announced Assisi IV yet. What's taking so long?
