He's an idiot. Seriously. The Humble One has a very high opinion of himself, but in reality he's just not very smart. I remember, when he was elected, that Novus Ordo Watch called him "The Dumb Ox." I thought that was harsh, but now I realize they were exactly right.

Be careful, there was another student who was called "the dumb ox." He turned out to be the smartest theologian of all time, St Thomas Aquinus.
