  • Not that I agree with everything Voris says, but especially now that you have "sedebenediciplenists" or whatever it is going around, this is much needed perspective.

"Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day become a formal heretic ... This is a statement I would sign in my blood." St. Montfort, Secret of the Rosary. I support the FSSP, the SSPX and other priests who work for the restoration of doctrinal orthodoxy and liturgical orthopraxis in the Church. I accept Vatican II if interpreted in the light of Tradition and canonisations as an infallible declaration that a person is in Heaven. Sedevacantism is schismatic and Ecclesiavacantism is heretical.

  • We "need to be committed" if we think that he's in the camp with the modernists.

All you have to do is read the new "encyclical" and see that it's the same 'ol, same 'ol modernist tripe. Let's not even mention his disallowing the Franciscan orders to use the Immemorial Mass. So yeah, whatever. Not impressed at all.
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

My Avatar is Fr. Hector Bolduc. He was a faithful parish priest in De Pere, WI,

  • I find Voris to be somewhat suspicious.  I am currently a subscriber to Church Militant, but I have taken issue with a few of the messages in the past year.  Voris never seems to criticize Francis.  When he does talk about him, it's always in his defense, with the old line, "he's being totally misinterpreted".  Meanwhile, Church Militant News has made some much more offensive statements.  I wrote a couple of weeks ago with a complaint about their characterization of the SSPX, but never got a reply.  I am thinking about unsubscribing, but if I do, I want to do it coinciding with a complaint about another grossly offensive reporting job.  True, this video about Bergoglio "becoming" Francis was utter garbage, but I retain a shred of hope that Voris is just massively confused, yet earnest.  Michael Miller, on the other hand, will likely be the target of my next email, as his reporting is atrocious, and he basically reads his news, straight from the zionist controlled AP and onto Church Militant News.

  • SoldierofChrist: unsubscribe. Save yourself the heartache of watching yet another one fall. I remember when I first said "no more EWTN" — not the day, LOL, not even the exact circuмstance. I think it was something that had been building though, and I got a last straw "they're with the bad guys now" moment. You want to hang on, and then you get that moment where you realized you've hung on about ten times longer than you should have.

ITA about Voris, by the way. The minute he excused Frank was the minute I turned him off. He had seemed to have (that long v-word, verisi...something; truth) working for him. Plus, he was anti-Shea, which is always a plus. But the he said it was fine for a new guy to wash the prison girl's feet as if she were an apostle, so, deleted and bookmark removed.

I know, I know, but there's so much of what he says that is spot on?  Who else describes the modern day Jєωs compared with Jєωs of the Priestly Period as the equivalent of Protestants to Catholics?  So much of his arguments and analogies can be used to further real Catholic catechesis.  I actually get arguments from him to throw in heretics' faces.  By the same token, I can get the Vortex even if I unsubscribe.  I'll probably do it.  Give me a few days.  I want it to coincide with a verbal lashing!
