"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church

  • How many SVs do you think this would be if this was 1950 and Mr. Bergolio became Pope out of the blue and we were this far into his reign?

I'm not sure I understand your question.

I thought I had posted his comments about the red shoes prior to NOW writing an article about it...but maybe I posted them on another forum.

I love how he mentions that this woman thought he was an anti-pope ... because of his red shoes.  Yes, Francis it ALL has to do with your shoes....
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

You did mention this on CathInfo, but only in passing.  This was the first I actually saw what Bergoglio actually said about the red shoes.

I don't believe him.  I don't believe he heard anyone suggest he is an anti-pope because of the color of his shoes.  Did he just make it all up?  Maybe.  Maybe he has mixed a couple of different events up in his head or, more likely, he just likes the sound of his own voice drone on and on and on.

Nah, he's much too humble for that!
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine
