  • Oh, Fr. Z...

Reminds me of our Novus Ordo parish priest when I was younger. He was on vacation as often as he was in his parish.

  • Fr. Z did not appear in any of these pictures - he was too busy taking them.  It is very sad to see how ridiculous NO priests have become.  Our Lady of Fatima informed us that "souls are falling into hell like snowflakes" and he is busy writing a travel and gastronomic blog ...

  • If souls are falling into hell like snowflakes, wouldn't that make hell cool down?

And if the snowfall is really intense, wouldn't hell eventually "freeze over?"

"His Hermeneuticalness"  --  is this for regular readers only?

Here is one of the “share platters”.  I think His Hermeneuticalness offered this one.

Great reporting and photos, Fr. Z!

Let’s inspire readers to contribute to funding your future trip to Roma to attend the Summorum Pontificuм anniversary conference at the end of October. I anticipate equally interesting posts and photos from there...

Heart attack on a plate! Much better food and way more expensive just down road at Simpsons on the Strand [a favourite of Rumpole of the Old Bailey].

It's a "fundraiser food foto" shoot. Make a blog, get paid, go to Roma.

It's all about the money. Contributors who worship their bellies are inspired to spend.

Also, he is too keen to fit in with the world.

  • The patron saint of parish priests, St. John Vianney, used to eat a moldy potato for a meal.

And St. Patrick (patron saint of Ireland) ate one slice of burned toast for his meal on many occasions.

Their voluntary penances were the reason they performed many miracles. But in
the case of the Cure d'Ars, he attributed all his miracles to St. Philomena. And
when someone received a miracle that wasn't what they expected, he told them
to "take it up with her."

  • I'm not a big Fr. Z fan but I honestly don't get what all the fuss is about.

He went on a trip and posted up some pictures of his food.  Who cares?  It's not like his blog is so serious that he can't take some time to post personal, light-hearted affair.
