  • Thank you Gabriella. For those that do not want to waste 5 minutes of listening to him waffling, here is the ordaining bishop for the 4 seminarians back in 1995.

Bishop Geraldo Daniel Joseph Scarpone Caporale, O.F.M. †

Catholic Hierarchy gives that he was ordained in 1979, most likely in the new rite.

I am very curious; Servants of the Holy Family are purportedly sedevacantist, but why do they need to over and over again emphasise that their Bishops are in the Annuario Pontificio (i.e. part of the conciliar hierarchy)????

    They are not sedevacantist
I recant many opinions on the crisis in the Church and moral theology that I have espoused on here from at least 2019-2021 don't take my postings from that time as well as 2022 possibly too seriously.

I think you may have missed the point, which was not the name.

If you are looking to understand what is going on there it is worth listening to the 5 minutes. You may also want to listen to the other parts in the series, but that sounds like a lot to take on for you.

If you look into them at all it is easy to see that they are not sedevacantists.

  • The whole thing is very strange imo, that video only confirms that it's all very strange.

What was the point?  For him to say on one hand that they can't give out the name (without the "bishop's" permission...which they finally got only because a "Cardinal" asked for it) and, on the other hand, say that the Faithful have a right to know it (which of course I agree with 100%)?

That's aside from the fact that the aforementioned bishop died in 2016, that video spoke only of the NO bishop that ordained Fr. Ward's priests, which means some other NO bishop consecrated Fr. Ward.

Yes, I agree, in modern times it is strange to have a group of priests (and now bishop) fighting to maintain the Faith and finding validly ordained bishops to validly ordain priests (and now a bishop) in the traditional rite.

It is very strange and wonderful! I thought some people would like to see where they were coming from on this (since not everyone knows who ordained them) and this video does show some of that.

Here is another one of them defending more modernist nonsense: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6jHPiyrEC4/?igsh=cGw2MHNuY253bXJl

  • I don't know for sure what or why they did what they did, but everything about this whole episode is a real head scratcher.
