More Catholics need to read Weninger's book "On the Apostolic and Infallible Authority of the Pope" to get a proper understanding of how Fathers, Doctors, theologians and the faithful behaved towards the papacy.

While I did not read that book, I came to that conclusion no my own ... after I entered the SSPX seminary.  Once you start reading pre-Vatican II Catholic ecclesiology, you very quickly realize that R&R is not tenable.

Which makes me wonder just how much pre-Vatican II ecclesiology these seminarians are getting these days.

Fr. Michael Rodríguez on Traditionis Custodes
I absolutely love Fr Rodriguez! I realize as a sede I'm not supposed to regard him as validly ordained because: post 1968. But I met him in 2018 at a Fatima Center convention and knew he is a very holy man. I felt someday he would become sede and in fact have been praying for him along those lines.

It's very possible he's been sedevacantist for a while but only now being open about it. There are a lot more than you think.

I hear there's still a sizeable amount within the SSPX too. They're just under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
