  • It is morning at the Vatican.

We shall know in a few hours what transpires.
    Lord have mercy.

  • This is from the BBC News. The Crowd filled St. Peter's Square.

I guess they were feed the correct foods.

Nothing that we worried about happened.

However, I do not trust the European press. They are known
to suppress negative news about the migrants.

The ones pictured in the BBC article seem to be immigrants of Catholic Ukrainian faith, not "migrants" of the Moslem religion.

Check their "national colours" and their emblem, which appears to be this of the Catholic Church of Ukraine: https://andrikyrychok.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/tryzub_darknavy1.gif?w=79&h=96

Right, the article makes it seem like they were going to be all or most of them "migrants" as the Liberal media understands the word, ergo muslim invaders claiming to be "refugees".
Instead it seems they were actual immigrants, at least most of them.

Indeed, the media seemed to have twisted the news so that people would assume that Muslim Migrants would be present ... in fact, 5000 of them. Nevertheless, the Vatican remained silent, which is unusual, or is it? By silence, the Vatican gave consent to this misrepresentation.

It is a fact that the Pope already has had the celebration with the immigrants, who appear to be not Muslims but Catholics from the Ukraine -- see the picture of the flag waving. Those are not ISIS flags, but Ukrainian.  http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35338220

I repeat, apparently, the news story was slanted by the media so that people would suppose it was Muslim Migrants, but nothing from the Vatican corrected those misrepresentations. The misrepresentation seems to stem from the fact that the cross carried by the Ukrainian Catholics was fabricated from Muslim Migrant boats which had beached on an island off the coast of Italy.

    Quote
The group will be accompanied by pilgrims carrying a cross made from the wood of wrecked migrant boats that was crafted on the Italian island of Lampedusa.

    http://www.dawn.com/news/1231627

However, the BBC report of the event still seems to give the impression that there were a few Muslim migrants among the crowd. Who knows. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35338220

I am shocked!  Scandalized, even!  The Vatican did nothing to correct a misunderstanding about the Church?  Surely, the Vatican would never, ever do this!

Pls show where I have made the assertion that anti-popes are defined by heterodoxy.... :confused1:

I do not recognise the v2 anti-popes specifically because they are NOT legally elected.

Fr popes of GWS( unlike v2 anti-popes)  are NOT anti-popes

    Well you said this:
    Quote from: roscoe

Wrong---- Anti-popes are indeed associated with heterodoxy and heresy. The Fr Popes of GWS are Not anti-popes for that very reason...  :detective:

There is nothing dogmatic in the alleged prophesies of St Malachi.

That antipopes are associated with heterodoxy and heresy is your claim, but let's say it is correct.

Then you said that the "Fr"(what does this mean? Does it mean Fr..ench?) are NOT antipopes for that reason.

So, what does this mean? They were not antipopes because they were not heterodox or heretical?

    Now you just said:
    Quote

I do not recognise the v2 anti-popes specifically because they are NOT legally elected.

    And the "Fr" antipopes were....?

Then what are categorised as Popes were NOT, necessarily.

Sorry about the confusing post. There really is no need to depose the v2 anti-popes( beg with John 23)  for heresy. They Cannot be legally elected because Gregory XVII is the true Pope until he dies in 1989.

Their subsequent propagation of heresy is only to be expected and as a historian this is not my area.

After a re-read of von Pastor, I apparently have the source wrong-- or at least partially. It says that an attitude of neutrality towards the fueding factions was adopted by some.

I stand by my assertion that The French popes of GWS are not anti-popes because there was no heterodoxy evident. The schism is strictly political.

But then you actually hold that heterodoxy is necessary to be antipope, as I asked you, and you said no before.

Not necessary in the case of the v2 anti-popes-- I didn't say it wasn't there.  :detective:
