  • May the Angels lead him into Paradise: May the Martyrs receive him at his coming, and lead him into the holy city, Jerusalem.  May the Choir of Angels receive him and with Lazarus, who was once poor, may he have everlasting rest.

One of Fr. Villa's last works was to write a letter to the Cardinals attempting to stop the beatification of Pope Paul VI.  Fr. Luigi Villa spent his entire priestly life battling ʝʊdɛօ-Masonry within the Church.  He truly fought that good fight and ran that race.  Well done, good and faithful servant ...

  • I know this dear soul was very old and he fought bravely for so long-
but the news makes me so very sad.  I am grateful to the holy priest who offered a Requiem Mass for Deceased Priests this past Saturday.  May God rest their souls.

  • Who is Father Luigi Villa?
    by Dr. Franco Adessa
    ------------------------------------------------------------
At the request of many people from Italy and abroad, and after more than twenty years of collaboration with this courageous Priest, I decided to write this short biography of Father Luigi Villa, because I can no longer be silent about the indescribable and unending persecution sufferedby this old, faithful and incorruptible Minister of God!

  • Thank you for posting the information, I am passing it along to others who may not know of his death.  I only recently became acquainted with his work, hopefully more  people will read his writings  - it has been known to happen after someone's dies.

  • This reminded me of the late Rev. Fr. Villa. May Jesus and Mary send us more Priests like unto this great servant of God.

Here is a commentary upon the Lessons of the First Nocturn at Matins for the first Monday in November, taken from the tome Daily Breviary Meditations: Meditations for Every Day on the Scriptural Lessons of the Roman Breviary, in accordance with the Encyclical "Divino Afflante," vol. 4, written by His Excellency the Most Rev. Joseph Angrisani, Bishop of Casale-Monferrato, and translated by Rev. Father Joseph A. McMullin of St. Charles Seminary at Philadelphia, PA (New York: Benziger Brothers, Inc., 1954).

Although these beautiful and edifying reflections were written for clerics, layfolk may gain exceeding great benefit therefrom.

His publication has extremely interesting info on the Padre Pio business, if I recall correctly.  Either way, his work to save souls for Our Lord was monumental.  I really hope you enjoy learning more about his work.
