Third Sunday in Advent, December 14, 2014
“Make straight the way of the Lord” (Jn.1:23b)

Today is known as Gaudete Sunday, from the first word of the Introit, and from the Epistle: “Rejoice in the Lord always” (Phil.4:4). On this day the Church dresses in more colorful clothes, because soon we will be celebrating the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

In the Epistle St. Paul speaks of “the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.” This is the peace that is not given to the world, nor can the world give this peace. It is given only to those who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and are obedient to His commands. Only the spiritual man perceives such spiritual realities.

“…The sensual (worldly) man,” says St. Paul, “does not perceive the things that are of the Spirit of God, for it is foolishness to him and he cannot understand, because it is examined spiritually. But the spiritual man judges all things, and he himself is judged by no man. For ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord, that he might instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1Cor.2:14-16).

The devil has no understanding of the supernatural, or the truly spiritual. He has never seen God, nor can he ever know God. But being a “copy-cat,” he comes up with his own version of the spiritual, to deceive human beings. Seeing that there is a true Religion which comes from God through Divine Revelation, he inspires human beings to create false religions to compete with the true one. Observing that there are true prophets and teachers inspired by the Holy Ghost, he sends out countless false prophets of every kind to confuse human beings and draw them away from the truth. Their victims are the young, the weak and the ignorant. Even within the Church the devil sows the weeds of heresy and apostasy. How we need the truth of the Gospel! How we need a St. Peter or a St. Paul!

But instead we have the alleged “pope” of the conciliar church, and a case of the blind leading the blind. Recently it was claimed by Time magazine and other publications that Francis declared all animals go to Heaven. Later Time retracted the statement. It should be made clear, however, that neither in the Holy Bible nor in Sacred Tradition do we find any mention about animals going to Heaven. It is not a teaching of the Catholic Church. The Church does not exclude the possibility that animals may enjoy some kind of natural happiness in the next world, but it is very clear in its teaching about Heaven. The essence of Heaven is the experience of the Beatific Vision, the vision of God of which only angels and human beings are capable. When we speak of Heaven, this is primarily what we mean. St. John explains:

“Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not yet appeared what we shall be. We know that, when he appears, we shall be like to him, for we shall see him just as he is” (1Jn.3:2).

    And St. Paul:

“We see now through a mirror in an obscure manner, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know even as I have been known” (1Cor.13:12).

Well, why not cats and dogs? According to Francis Bergoglio, everyone is going to Heaven. You can believe anything or nothing. The fantasy world of Francis includes all religions, but especially the Jєωιѕн religion. He has a long history of praying with the Jєωs, and taking part in their religious ceremonies (which is absolutely forbidden by the Catholic Church). One of his best friends is Rabbi Abraham Skorka from Argentina, whom he entertains at the Vatican.

But Rabbi Skorka, and those who are known as Jєωs today, are not of the same religion as the believing Jєωs of the time of Christ. They are тαℓмυdic Jєωs. Their “holy book” is the тαℓмυd, which was compiled only after the time of Our Lord. The тαℓмυd says that Jesus Christ is in Hell being boiled for all eternity in a cauldron of human waste. The тαℓмυd also horribly blasphemes the Most Holy Mother of God, Mary, portraying her as a woman of loose morals. Christians, it says, are not descended from Adam and Eve. They are non-human. Everything they have is really the property of the Jєωs, who may appropriate it by any means foul or fair. The Jєωs have devised what they call the Noahide Laws for non-Jєωs, since they claim exclusive right to the Ten Commandments. According to their Noahide Laws those who believe Jesus Christ is God are destined to be executed.

These are the “friends” of Francis who, following the lead of the previous conciliar popes, has led what was once the Holy Catholic Church into apostasy. It has become a Judaic sect, of which Francis is the Chief Rabbi.

This past week we celebrated two great feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Through the observance of her great feast days we learn more about Heaven, and our desire to go to Heaven is increased. On her Guadalupe Feast we hear these beautiful words from the book of Ecclesiasticus:

“Come to me, all you that yearn for me, and be filled with my fruits; for my spirit is sweeter than honey, and my inheritance better to have than honey and the honeycomb.  My memory is to everlasting generations. They who eat of me will hunger still, and they who drink of me will thirst for more. He who obeys me will not be put to shame, they who serve me will never fail. They who explain me shall have life everlasting” (Ecclus.24:18-21).

Stay away from certain dangerous sites on the internet, and read the lives of the saints instead. You won’t believe how fascinating they can be. But share their stories with the children. We must surround the children with beautiful things as they grow. There should be pictures of Jesus and Mary, St. Joseph and other saints, crucifixes and blessed candles, medals and scapulars. Don’t hide Jesus and Mary away in a closet. Put them where people can see them. Our heroes should be the saints, not the spiritual predators of the entertainment world. The neighbors may think we are religious fanatics, but our intention is to please God, not the world. St. Paul counsels us:

“Whatever things are true, whatever honorable, whatever just, whatever holy, whatever lovable, whatever of good repute, if there be any virtue, if anything worthy of praise, think upon these things. And what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, these things practice. And the God of peace will be with you” (Phil.4:8,9).
