Title: Fr. Jared Scott Brown of the Servant of the Holy Family
Post by: MrShort94 on December 12, 2020, 07:06:06 PM
Tomorrow, Sunday December 13, 2020 in Denver, Colorado, a new priest by the name of Fr. Jared Scott Brown, S.S.F. Their Sunday, November 22, 2020 announcement read:

Yesterday, November 21st, the feast of the Presentation of Our Lady in the Temple, Father Jared Scott Brown was ordained a priest in our chapel. The photograph below shows him after the ordination Mass and ceremony with our seminarians. Needless to say, it was a happy occasion for everyone.

This Sunday morning the announcement of his ordination was made to our people here in the chapel and afterwards each person received a blessing from our newly ordained priest. After all the first blessings Father Brown celebrated his first Mass. He will be offering a High Mass in thanksgiving on Sunday, December 13th, which is Gaudete Sunday.

My inquiry is who is the bishop that ordained Fr. Jared Brown, S.S.F.? The Bishop's full name is greatly appreciated. Also what rite was the ordaining bishop ordained and consecrated in (old or new)?

There's not a great deal of information on the website. I hit a couple of roadblocks which read:

To access this content, you must purchase Annual Membership - Free Gift Included (https://servi.org/product/annual-membership-access/), or log in (https://servi.org/members-area/my-account/?wcm_redirect_to=post&wcm_redirect_id=18768) if you are a member.

All I wanted was to see what saints they honoured on their calendar.

Strange!

This would be very good to know.

Does anyone know what bishop(s) that SSF has used in the past to ordain priests?

No names are given, aside from the names of bishops appointed by Rome to review their situation.  That's not the same as listing which bishops ordain their priests.

This comes across as being in the same vein as that traditionalist website whose priest(s) refuse to name their ordaining bishop(s).  That's pretty basic information which no priest or bishop should mind disclosing.

If I go to a chapel and ask a priest "who ordained you?", and he won't tell me, that inspires ZERO confidence right then and there.

Anyone who ever gets that answer to that question should walk straight out the door and never return. No exceptions.
