  • I found this on a Resistance website. Fr. Hesse speaks on the decline of charity since the Council of Trent:

"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

    ~St. Robert Bellarmine

  • Since Christian perfection is measured by the degree of charity, he must be arguing that Christians are overall less perfect now than in the past.
    How does he justify that?

Did you listen to the audio talk by Fr. Hesse, linked to in the OP?

    What a great find Meg!
Every Catholic should listen this is truly a treasure.

I pulled my favorite quote from Fr Hesse’ summary in the audio...

‘The point I am making is this:
Christ’s intervention in the 17th century (Margaret Mary Alacoque and Devotion to the Sacred Heart) and Christ’s message through Our Lady in the 20th century (Fatima and the Immaculate Heart) was direly needed in a Church that was more and more shrinking to a rigid system that would only care about what you believe and not how you love’.

I'm so glad that someone gets it! Thank you.

The entire audio by Fr. Hesse needs to be listened to in order to really understand what he's getting at. This talk has changed the way I view the Crisis in the Church.

It has changed the way I see it too!
I’m so very grateful getting to hear it because there are things mentioned to improve my daily life for my friends and family, and in a totally Catholic way too. I wish all could hear it, it would help all of us so much!  :D
