  • Does anyone know anything about Fr. Christopher Gronenthal who is currently at Our Lady of the Sun in El Mirage, AZ?  I've done a search on google but cannot find anything about who ordained him and when or where he was trained.

Any suggestion about HOW to search online aside from just using the name?

  • Thanks for the info ladies.  For a while OLoS was affiliated with Bp. Donald Sanborn of Florida, I don't know when the change took place.  I wonder why they don't note their CMRI affiliation on the website for Our Lady of the Sun?

Anybody else out there have information on the transition?

  • This is a bit off-topic, but I decided to search for Our Lady of the Sun, as I had never heard of that title before. I came up with a link to the church itself, which is rather an interesting read from a cradle Novus Ordite.

This is absolutely hilarious!!!!   :laugh2: :laugh2:   (Except for one thing  :'()
Remembering people from my Novus Ordo days, I can see how a typical Concilliar Catholic would think the things these people did.  Interesting they linked to traditio.com for the "denomination" as if traditio has churches.  They were sure able to provide a lot of detail about that church even though they claimed there was no information available.

The only thing that saddened me about the whole thing was the fact that this couple received sacrilegious Communion.  I pray that they will one day repent of that horrible sin.

  • I chuckled at the "quiet as a tomb" remark.  How delightful to be able to pray in peace and quiet.

  • I thought it was a good find. Hilarious and sad at the same time. Let's pray that they convert in time...

That was a good wrote-up, but it is at least ten years old (Nov. 11, 2007). I hope the choir has improved.

Knowing Phoenix, the choir may have been affected by seasonal allergies to cacti, grass, and wind from the Round-up sprayed areas, especially all those agricultural areas that surround Phoenix. Last time I visited Phoenix in April 2015, I became very sick, and could barely talk or sing.
    Lord have mercy.
