1. Once you realize the sender of an e-mail is engaging in gossip, calumny or detraction, read no further.
Unless the detraction/calumny is, as in this case, coming FROM Fr C/Bp D.
2. Do not forward the e-mail or discuss it with others. This simply magnifies the harm.
We (sgg.org/cult) will take care of magnifying the harm, publicly emailing people information that they could never have a need or right to know (even if it was actually true).
3. Delete the e-mail.
Unless it is an official smear emanating from sgg.org/cult or her affiliates.
5. If it concerns something in the parish, let one of the priests know.
This, of course, has been such an effective way to handle things up to this point.
Hey, Fr C, if ML is actually so very innocent (i.e., people have, as you have asserted, always been WRONG when complaining about him), why did you recently remove him from his post as Principal? Did his paycheck change? Does every dollar that comes into sgg.org/cult go through his fingers? Are you, honest as the day is long, still the only "oversight"?
