Curiously, here's a writing from the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), the Novus Ordo's catechism (a book only good as a reference of the errors of today).

Could you find a better description of what we are living today than this #675?
 
 

675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.

 
An apparent solution to man's problems at the price of apostasy? - annulments, contraception , no confessions, everyone goes to heaven, all religions the same, no Church Militant (now church peacenik), peace with communism & Masons & all the Church enemies. No need for priests to see the "depressing stuff" like the sick & aged  (send the eucharistic ministers), time for golf.
No more "mean" sermons about those Ten Commandments. etc, etc

Wow, the Catechism actually says that? I would have thought that they would write:

"Before Christ's second coming, the Church must eliminate poverty, bring peace to the Earth, and foster warm, fuzzy feelings among our brothers and sisters of different faiths. Then we will all hold hands and walk through the pearly gates of Heaven together, unjudged and loved by our respective God(s)."
