    • I wasn't aware that popes have access to the True Cross, so that they can give shards of it away. It's quite distressing that Francis has the ability to do this. :'(

    Well, it would indeed be a wonderful thing if King Charles would be converted to the One True Faith. We'll have to look for his conversion after his coronation, but it could take awhile. ::)

    It could happen.  I was recently reading about how King Charles II converted on his deathbed.

    What timing that right before the ''coronation'' of King Charles III the Missal belonging to Fr. John Huddleston was bought by the National Trust.

    I don't think Charles could get the Commonwealth to follow him if he did.

    I hope and pray that ANYONE who looks upon The Cross of Christ or comes into It's presence is converted.

    • Isn't there a prophecy about England being converted?  If anyone remembers it, please post.

    My first reaction on hearing that the Cross was to be given to heretics was anger.  But after a few hours to cool down I'm thinking it might be exactly what God wanted  (how many times has he brought good from evil).

    For decades now we've been saying that God will have to intervene to correct this mess we've gotten ourselves into.
    Could we be witnessing the start of this intervention?  And how appropriate it would be for Him to use the power of the Cross.

    Meg, no offense intended but, it seems to me that you don’t realize the power that a true pope has. The Pope (which I of course don’t concede Bergoglio is) is an absolute monarch. He basically owns and controls everything within his diocese and I would venture to suggest, if times were normal, in the whole Church for he can dispose any bishop.

    • We have a True Cross relic in our home as well.  It has an episcopal seal from Rome on it that's about 150 years old.  In faith I believe it to be authentic.

    • This St. Michael’s Prayer is the original version as written by Pope Leo XIII. It was originally published in the Roman Raccolta of July 23, 1898, and a supplement approved July 31, 1902.

    Original Prayer to St Michael the Archangel

    O Glorious Archangel St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, and spirits of evil.

    Hmmm, my father has a cross which he claims is from the wood of the true cross, apparently he got it in Croatia. But I've never heard him mention a docuмent or seal...

    • The relic of the True Cross should not be given to heretics. Only an apostate would think of doing something like this.

     Don't cast your pearls before swine comes to mind.
