  • There are so many accusations by the Bishop of Brescia towards Father Villa, it's ridiculous. Take a look.

I'm going to put the Italian in the library for future reference, in case this thing magically disappears.

So much hypocrisy to discuss in this thing...
    Matthew 5:37

But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.

  • What are the jist of the accusations?

I can't imagine opposing the beatifications of two VCII icons won him any favors in the Conciliar Church.

  • Bishop of Brescia: Father Villa missed the measure

    September 8, 2011

It is hard the position taken by the bishop of Brescia Bishop Luciano Monari on the publishing activities of "living Church" directed by Father Luigi Villa, resident priest in the diocese of Brescia and that for years spreads "falsehood on the figures of popes as Paul VI and John Paul II".

Father Villa is the self styled "grand inquisitor" and in his writings also attacks the Vatican II and other ecclesiastics. On the pages of the diocesan weekly of Brescia , "Lavoce del popolo", monsignor Monari and spoke with an open letter in which condemns the behavior of the priest. "I have already stated", writes Monari, "that the diocese of Brescia has not and does not want to have nothing to do with the filthiness and untruths that are written."

"It is difficult to understand such hatred", adds the bishop of Brescia. "Don Villa might think to be moved by apostolic zeal, to be a new up Phineas that pierces the wicked in the very act of their idolatry. Unfortunately The reality is different. San James wrote: "Those among you who are wise and intelligent? With the good conduct shows that its works are inspired by gentleness and wisdom. But if you have in your heart bitter jealousy and not faction and do not tell lies against the truth.

(My note: Here's the scripture passage he hypocritically quotes:

    1 James 3:11-18
Doth a fountain send forth, out of the same hole, sweet and bitter water? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear grapes; or the vine, figs? So neither can the salt water yield sweet. Who is a wise man, and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew, by a good conversation, his work in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter zeal, and there be contentions in your hearts; glory not, and be not liars against the truth. For this is not wisdom, descending from above: but earthly, sensual, devilish.

For where envying and contention is, there is inconstancy, and every evil work.  But the wisdom, that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.  And the fruit of justice is sown in peace, to them that make peace.)

"Don Villa thinks that fidelity is to repeat the same words always equal", adds the bishop Monari. "And that would be true if the world were firm and static and every word had always at the same time the same meaning. But as time passes, languages change, change also uses of words and we must be careful (and intelligent) to learn how to express the same act of intelligence with the correct words in a new context of life." (My note: Spoken like a true modernist.)

"The effort that the Council has begun", explains the bishop of Brescia, "It is precisely that of preaching the Gospel today; the same Gospel ever (there are not two or many), but in a way that man who lives today and thought today and speaks today can understand it". "Paul VI was not only a great Pope, but a great believer", the bishop continued. "Is sufficient to read his profession of faith and his spiritual testament to understand that the stuff was done, just as it is to read the texts of Don Villa for understanding what stuff is done. "

"Paul VI", continues the letter of Monari, "it has been a genuine christian who has known some (few) moments of success without getting praise; that, without letting oneself be degrading, led the cross (heavy) undergoing accusations, criticism, scorn. AND on the part of people not worth his little finger.  The contemporary world is this: to all offers, intelligent or stupid, honest or vicious, truthful or deceitful, the chance to put their ideas in public (or just void of ideas), and offers everyone, whatever their ideas, a moment of fame. Not because the ideas are clever, but because they are strange. In addition to tarnish the taste seems to be spreading all things beautiful, probably because, he noted Manzoni, when you accuse others of doing what we're doing we delude ourselves to be, thereby, on the good side "

"There are anticlericals who spit insults from every part, we account", continues Monari, "but it is a priest that is doing it, a priest who takes pleasure to besmirch popes as Paul VI and John Paul II, let it do so with pamphlets that propagate accusations on everybody and everything, this creates confusion. Because this way of doing things? The only response that it seems to me to be able to give is the one i have mentioned above.

"That there are anti-clerical spewing insults from all sides, we make it into account", continues Monari, "but that is a priest to do so, a priest who takes pleasure in disgracing popes like Paul VI and John Paul II, who face pamphlets spread accusations of everything and everyone, this creates confusion. Why is he acting this way? The only answer that I think I can give is the one I mentioned above. Father Villa is convinced that the Second Vatican Council has ruined the Church and believes that he is the noble knight-errant that the Lord has called to restore the Church on the path of truth. " (My note: Well, dude, I think you need to try to think HARDER, like... I dunno... Did it ever occur to you that he COULD BE TELLING THE TRUTH, and that you, are in fact, WRONG? Also, as humble as he is in his writings, and then to accuse him of being prideful is really something else, isn't it?)

"Actually", concludes the bishop of Brescia, "the Council has been a great gift of God, and as such must learn to see Him every believer. In that assembly more than 2300 all Bishops of the Catholic Church, around the Pope, have decided the path of the Church by signing almost unanimously all docuмents. You really have to think highly of yourself to expect to see better than everyone, and to better represent the inspiration of the Holy Spirit".
