Being in a wheelchair shouldn't be able to keep a Pope from doing the "Pope thing".  Popes did not leave the Vatican from 1870 to 1929, and the Church got along just fine.

Of course, there wasn't the expectation then, that Popes would take these mammoth trips all over the world, and be out doing all sorts of photo-ops.  So much of this is media-driven.
Good point.  If he stays home and remains silent it will be less pollution.

This synod scam mentions about dealing with the secular media. ( I’m thinking to myself: who cares?   How about some real humility and truth?

Wake me up when he is in his casket.
I was thinking something along those lines myself.  It can't come soon enough.  Of course the next "pope" will probably be worst so.....

Actually Beer Goggles has been a huge benefit for traditional Catholic churches. So many people trying to get away from that guy have come to trad parishes. When Ratzinger was in, people were sucked out of trad parishes into their local Novus Ordo-approved indult.

Just in time for an antichrist, if not The Antichrist. 7 years until the centenary of the Fatima message.
Huh?

The Fatima apparitions took place in 1917.  Or are you referring to revelations that Lucia had after that date, when she was in the convent?

Yes, I think it was the secrets were not actually revealed until 1929. I've often felt like it was obvious that if something happened it would be in 2029, not 2017 like a lot of people thought.
