3 days of darkness, according to TIA, states catholics are to obliged to believe.  But I say this, we know by prophecies that we are to experience tribulations worse then the deluge, wow. Tribulations so bad that even Cardinal Manning said how could he even write about it!  The scriptures speak for themselves.
