  • A very good article on the subject.  It was already the norm in public high schools over a century ago:

  • Absolutely correct.  Co-eduction is an evil, and a terrible one at that.  Where my two oldest children go to public school, there is a "girl's entrance" and a "boy's entrance," each with an engraving of a girl and boy, respectively, above the entrances (wearing traditional clothing.)  Likewise, this old school building has two gyms, one for girls, the other for boys.  Unfortunately, of course, everything is now co-ed.  Now in 6th-grade, the children are exposed to oral sex and contraceptive "education," unless they are excused by their parents.  Our two children are the only ones in the entire school who have been excused from the "sex ed."  The fact that parents can excuse their children from these classes has not been publicized by the school district.  As parents, my wife and I did this of our own initiative.

  • What kind of influence must those other kids be on YOUR kids, since they've *all* been corrupted by the sex education you mention.

I wouldn't want to send my boy or girl to school with hundreds of other children whose innocence has been taken away from them, who now have premature thoughts of sɛҳuąƖ topics in their young impressionable minds.

Your children might have been spared the sex-ed, but they are still male or female -- a possible "partner" for the females and males in the classroom.

  • Besides the evils of Sex-ed, there are also plenty of evils of co-education in general.

It suggests that men and women are essentially the same. (FALSE!)
It suggests their brains, at least, are very similar. (FALSE!)
It suggests you can teach subject matter 1 way, and boys & girls will learn the material at once. (FALSE!)

You can EITHER teach the boys, OR the girls, or maybe one then the other, but not both at once. Boys are girls are very, very different, and it's not just a question of plumbing.

If it weren't for the fact that men & women are capable of having children together, an argument could be made that men and women are a different species. That's how different they are.

If we're going to simplify, I'd be more inclined to round "down" to "They're a different species" than to round "up" to "They're interchangeable".

There is much more evidence for the former than there is for the latter.

It's the best that we can do.  Two of my children are special-education students, and as parents, we cannot provide the services which the state provides for them.  (My six-year old son is non-verbal and not yet toilet trained.)  At this point, homeschooling is, unfortunately, not an option for us.
